What are tou doing with the javelin or are you getting a second rig? what about a new main ? call me >

I've had some very hard openings on a falcon.Check your rubber bands,I double wrap all my line stows and replace the rubber bands every 4th jump.I know its a pain in the ass but it ended my hard openings.

Thanks for the imput.Talked to icurus today and they recommended a 230 for a wing loading at 1.2 I have jumped a 7 cell at that loading but landings werent real good seemed like the angle on final was very steep and the flare had to be timed just right.although I did stand it up about 8 out of 10.I think I'll contact icurus and see if I could demo a 230.If you like the canopy do you have to buy the demo they send or can you order one in the colors you want?thanks Dan

I'm looking to get a new canopy and am thinking about the safire 2.I currently am jumping a falcon 300.out the door at 280lbs.I was thinking of a safire in the 260 range.how much harder are they to land than a falcon?I'm tired of the brisk to hard openings on the falcon.

I weight 257 lbs. and after much searching I found a used Javelin j-7 a falcon 300 and raven III reserve for 1700.00 I then bought a new raven IV for 775.00 with micro lines And a used cypress from square one for 650.00 I'm going to sell thr raven III for 450.00 total cost about 2675.00 after I sell the reserve.I used to jump in the late 70s and to start jumping again I lost 92 lbs.I just got cleared for 20 sec delays.

Buy a used rig from the classified.I found a Javelin b-12 snaps a falcon 300(I weigh 254 lbs)a raven IV with 53 total jumps.I then Bought a used cypress from square one for 650.00 The rig cost 1750. total price 2400.00.At your weight there are tons of Rigs avaliable.Get good e-mail pictures and make it contingent on your riggers approval.It worked great for me.Dan

You might want to buy used for your first rig.I bought a javelin,main and reserve online for 1750.00 and a used cypress from square one for 650.00 The rig only has 53 jumps and looks brand new.good luck.

I think I got a good deal.I paid 1750.00 For a javelin j-7,falcon 300 main and raven III reserve.I also purchased from square one A used Cypress mnf.2/98 for 650.00.The rig was mnf.12/90 but the owner only jumped it 53 times no reserve deployment.I had the sale contigent on my riggers ok.We couldn't believe what great shape it was in.Like new and with all the owners manuels.I sold the Reserve for 450.00 and bought a new raven IV for 768.00

I just bought a used javelin j-7 with a falcon 300 main ,it had a raven III reserve which I'm changeing to a raven IV this week.I also bought a cyprus expert.I am currently jumping a raven IV main,how much different will the falcon fly?Also how much difference will there be on the flare?I weigh 254 LBS without gear.
