  1. When was the last time 1000 white Christians got together and systematically groped and robbed woman? People are pissed pissed because these people come here from their ruined countries, are welcomed here, get medical help, food and shelter. Then they rob and rape the very people that took them in. They do this systemically, this is literally organized crime. The thought process is that many Muslims do not see woman the same way we in the west do. If you think that's wrong take a look at any dominantly Muslim country and the situation of the woman there... The thought process is further, it's probably a bad idea to let 700.000 military aged men with archaic beliefs into our country as is evident by the actions on new years eve. But you continue to call anybody a racist that thinks Islam has a fundamental problem with woman...
  2. I hate to disagree with you, but actually the ZDF, which is second biggest public broadcasting station had to publicly apologize for being too slow in reporting about the attacks. The only English article I could find is from bretibart, I assure it's true though. http://www.breitbart.com/london/2016/01/06/german-state-broadcaster-sorry-for-slow-reporting-on-cologne-sex-assaults/ This has already massively changed the public debate.
  3. 1941: Almost the whole world is at war. Yet somehow the apocalypse didn't happen...
  4. It's hilarious how a right wing militia is seizing the means of production from the government in order to give to the proletariat.
  5. If you care about why this has happened I recommend the books of S.L.A. Marschall. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/S.L.A._Marshall Super interesting but his work is seen by some as controversial.
  6. What if that person does not accept woman as equal, or denies basic rights to homosexuals? I have every right to consider him an alien in my culture. I wish it where all so simple...
  7. So what's your point? Is this like the argument, if we can't reduce gun violence to zero within 1 week with a simple law, we should just continue selling military grade weaponry to everybody?

    Adolf Trump

Comparisons like this are why the world will keep shaking it's head at you. I think it would be funny if toddlers weren't the victims.
  9. You have forgotten Timothy McVey I believe... Or the local police. So you're saying a democracy must accept this level of violence? This attack cost the number of lives that die in about 1 month due to other firearm related activity. Excuse me while I think your line of reasoning is hypocritical and stupid m'kay. For some reason lives taken by muslims trump lives taken by other preventable means...
  10. http://www.vox.com/2015/12/2/9838968/daily-news-san-bernardino-cover Looks like the public is waking up to the GOP hypocrisy.
  11. How are facts stereotyping? Seriously how? The fact remains, that in all of these areas muslims have committed acts of terrorism in the name of islam. There isn't anything wrong with Americans there is something wrong with American culture, that allows crooked police officers to get off free and to perpetuate mass shootings by completely ignoring the reasons they happen. Just as there is something wrong with islamic culture if it makes you feel you have to wear a head scarf in order to not get ogeled or raped. That's the media for you... Although I remember prominent reporting when muslims protected Christians in egypt with human chain. So that's really nor true what you are saying. The media does generally not report good news in case you haven't noticed. Yes I have, and I have also heard of Muslims in enslaving woman and children. There are assholes in every culture. Whats your point? You gonna tell me now that muslims are victims? They undoubtedly are in some areas, in others not so much. QuoteSyrians are now being portrayed as terrorists with bigots calling for closure of borders leaving them to do what? Quote That really is a shame. Germany alone has taken about 800.000 refugees in the last months with about 5-10k new ones arriving every month. But you must also realize that the solution to the problem can't be to completely depopulate the whole area...
  12. Have you forgotten Mali, Somalia, Sudan, Nigeria, Kenya, The Philippines, Chechnya, Afghanistan, Pakistan, hell even China has extremest Muslims... In all of these countries there have been attacks. This is literally a global problem.
  13. And these political ideologies have almost all of the characteristics of a religion.
  14. Europe 1945 Panama 1989 Bosnia 1996 Then there where some semi-successful humanitarian missions. Can't think of any others where a generally positive outcome was achieved.
  15. A really interesting Article that describes the current situation well. I have no Idea how to solve this... I think the only way to cope with this for the university administration to stop caving to this bullshit. The only weapon these people have is public outrage... If nobody gets outraged this stops immediately. This is a vocal minority. IMHO Students should have to accept a basic code of conduct which describes what is expected of students in an academic environment. Breaching this code of conduct should be grounds for expulsion. Further... A lot of the demands these put forth could be in violation free speech laws. This depends on the level of public funding of the uni of course.
  16. It's almost as if a university is comprised of different people with different views.
  17. http://www.cell.com/current-biology/abstract/S0960-9822(15)01167-7 Religion makes you selfish and absolutist who would have thought?
  18. Interesting I will take a look at the podcast. You do realize that "Sex at dawn" does not meet scientific standards. I would take everything you read with a grain of salt. If you are really interested in this debate I recommend "The blank slate" by Stephen Pinker. It highlights the conflict between science and modernism very well and shows the implications of what happens when you try science based on ideology.
  19. http://www.reuters.com/article/2015/11/03/us-usa-politics-obama-republicans-idUSKCN0SS05P20151103 Once again the US political process is the laughing stock of the world. It's a shame really, with so much at stake.
  20. He probably doesn't suffer from childish insecurities. I wish I didn't suffer form them as well... But alas, I get jealous like lots other people as well and there doesn't seem to be anything I can do against it. I would love to though.
  21. This is the definition of an egalitarian society not a matriarchal one. Amazing. Did you even read the first link you posted? It literally describes matrilineal societies not matriarchal ones. The difference is really important. Further it's a click bait article without much scientific merit. The second link: a site called lovetheygoddess is probably a little bit biased and not really a scientific source. It's the anthropological equivalent to breitbart or the blaze. Also there is so much wrong with it that I don't even know where to begin. Just read this bit: This is so hilariously absurd. There are no sources, no citations, nothing. And which is it? A matriarchy or an egalitarian society? You can't just redefine words to fit your agenda. You have to do better than that. I'm actually quite disappointed amazon. You always call the right wingers on their bullshit, now you are doing exactly the same... I'll just leave this snippet from the wikipedia matriarchy page: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Matriarchy The authors that believe these exceptions exist, are the ones posting to sites like lovetheygoddess.
  22. I would like to take up on that. Do you have any credible sources about a matriarchal society of any note what so ever?
  23. Oh totally. I was just making a joke about how some people seem to think that the patriarchy is a new development...
  24. This is also a resource thing. You want to protect the things you invest resources in - ergo possessiveness. Who should? can never be the question when discussing anthropology, the question is always who was? That's the difference between post modernists and scientists. Homosexuality is indeed viewed very differently across the cultures. There is no simple or single answer to this question.
