  1. I forgot! When the economy is working you shouldn’t attempt to grow your company. I must have fallen asleep during Spin Econ 101
  2. https://www.businessinsider.com/layoffs-sweeping-the-us-these-are-the-companies-making-cuts-2023#deloitte-1200-jobs-27 I dunno. Not buying it. Seriously doubt companies would be laying off in these numbers in a good economy.
  3. Nothing useless to add to the uselessness
  4. The TDS is strong. OP is about Biden and, in part his foreign relations skills. BTW, I agree with him. If I were him I'd just not say it out loud. Even crooked people like Trump know..."you keep your friends close..."
  5. "Look, he is. He's a dictator in the sense that he's a guy who runs a country that is a communist country that's based on a form of government totally different than ours," Biden said.
  6. I've been a bit puzzled by the pronoun thing. How am I to know their preference without asking?
  7. While it might be a dick move it's also an effective way to point out that the border states don't have the ability to handle the influx.
  8. Won't be that long before AI is fighting our wars. That'll be interesting

Actually John I think jumping to playing the Trump card so quickly speaks volumes about your concerns on how the withdrawal was handled. I simply drew attention to what I thought was a pretty good movie and my feelings about the US leaving people holding the bag.

Who said anything about Trump? We've been doing this since Vietnam.

Just watched last night. While not a true story it is fiction based around fact. It is estimated that tens of thousands of Afghan interpreters, as well as other specialists, who worked with the US government were left behind during the withdrawal, and hundreds are believed to have died, with many more living in poverty and under the constant threat of Taliban reprisals. Once again we abandon those that helped us.
  12. Well...maybe not this year. https://aurora.tech/ Another tech that will ultimately reduce the available jobs.
  13. If this was a private company planning something similar the planner would probably be terminated for stupidity. Because it's the government we just look away. Unfortunately the bureaucracy is chock full of well payed idiots with way too much power.
  14. Seems to me if you're planning a tour to promote EVs you might want to figure out...i dunno...where you're going to charge?
  15. Election year theatrics. Just about every POTUS has tried this one during an election cycle in the last 20 years.
  16. On an EV road trip to promote green tech, the US Energy Secretary and her entourage couldn't find enough electric vehicle chargers Seriously? What a maroon.
  17. They're all bought and paid for so the handlers are trying to eke out the remaining votes before time expires.
  18. Near as I can tell we aren’t talking about wheelchairs. You want to make lite of it? Fine by me.
  19. How is that not "white privilege"? That is most definitely white privilege. Is Harvard the only school one can attend? Had I wanted to go to Harvard I would not have been accepted either.
  20. Don't confuse what I'm saying. Tell me what you think the government should do to help.
  21. https://engagedscholarship.csuohio.edu/cgi/viewcontent.cgi?article=1090&context=cecr I've given my thoughts. Let me leave you with one final thought. When people lay blame for their problems on others they surrender the ability to solve them for themselves. Government cannot, has not, and will not solve this problem. The only people who can are the individuals.
