Giddy, anxious, energetic, can't sit still... take your choice. All those feelings that i normally feel on jump run. You know which ones. My school club is hosting a scrambles saturday, i finished my homework and have not much else to do while i burn dvd's so what do i do. I pop in a couple tapes (bad idea) of skydiving stuff (golden knights training/demo vid, team practice team, etc..) and it all just started rushing back. Now i can't wait. I feel like i should be gearing up and getting ready to exit, but instead i'm going to be going to sleep. I Thought i had it under control, that little adrenaline bug, thought i could contain it and only let it out on weekends, but now i fear i was greatly mistaken. So what do i do? What Do You Do? Hmmm, telling the folks, lets see i think it went something like this. Hey mom i've found a great way to relieve some of the stress school puts on me really, hows that jumping out of planes, i start aff next week silence mom... (couple of minutes of banter about the value of life, am i sure can she change her mind.. yadda yadda yadda) you haven't told your father yet have you no don't yet, and call me the minute you get down from the jump, call me before the jump, hell call me on the plane. (fast forward to summer/fall break when i get home) hey dad check this video(some shots of me after aff in a couple 2ways, 3ways and 4ways) dad just kinda sits there watching, who's this idiot and why is he jum.... evil eye, then the typical speech don't like it yadda yadda yadaa what are you thinking etc.. cut to today they still ask me when i'm gonna grow out of it. But they have become a lot more receptive now. all my family has. asking if i'm still doing it and then the typical wuffo questions. it's more of a laughing matter conversation start for my parents. ya he's a skydiver one thing you might consider is having your log book with you when you do break the news. If you had really great instructors and some good aff you'll have some nice comments in your log book. showing them what your instructors said might help alleviate some of the tension etc.. especially explaining the amount of training aff instructors go through. but thats just my opinion. hope it helps Pineappe Death Juice, If you have to ask you'd rather not know!

Would definitely recommend hitting SKydive Atlanta (we've got a beautiful and fast King Air) Always a great place to just come and hang out. Also if you're going south 95 i would also recommend hitting up Skydive Space center. Was over there last week and all i can say is wow. Very friendly people and the view is unique (ohh look its the shuttle launch pads and hanger etc...) But that's just my 2cents.

After our tunnel trip my team went to SSC to try out our new found skills. The staff there was very friendly an so helpful. We called them sunday to find out if there would be loads on monday. They said that they would. We show up monday and manifest goes out of their way (calling up jumpers to come out and help get loads up) to help us. All in all by the end of the day we got 6 loads up. Just as we felt things were starting to slow down jumpers start showing up. Everyone was so helpful. And not to mention the view of the Space center on the ride up is amazing.

Yea i use the abc client as well. Your download speeds are directly affected by how many people are downloading the same file at the same time. Since its not just one file everyone downloads the more people who are connected the more sources you have to download from and the faster you can get it. If you aren't behind a firewall or router etc ports won't matter. If you are you'll need to map the port range that abc is set to use (file -> abc preferences-> Min/Max port) as far as uploading goes, i believe there is some functionality built in that supposedly throttles your download based on your upload (maybe % capacity used instead of your overall speed) If it doesn't hurt you let the upload go at max, you'll just be helping other people get it faster. Yea ok it's snow, i don't have the greatest camera in the world. It was just a shock to wake up, and see a blanket of white on everything. Definitely out of the ordinary for atlanta. So i just found out that my cypress is due for its 8 year check. Unexpectedly, i might add . The guy i bought it from said he'd had the 8 year check done last year. Turns out it was just the batteries that were changed. So now my rig is out of commission for the next 3 weeks . Now there is this void in the corner of my closet that looks so unnatural.
