    Eiger conditions

Hello, currently there is a lot of snow to go to the mushroom. Walking without crampons is impossible and I would not recommend to go without a confirmed moutain guide. We were there on Friday and the hike was long due to the snow. It may melt if the weather get better but at certain moment we had more than 70cm of snow. Do not forget that the hike end at 3100 meters. Take care, Franz #1141
  3. Hallo Peter, I met you this year at the heliboogie and we discussed many times. I was impressed that you were so cool and now I am discovering how humble you were by not telling everybody all your talents. We will miss you down there. Gruss Gott, Franz #1141
  4. Hi, honestly I find that this article is very positive and that the locals are very fair with us. The farmers that are disturbed by our action respect us and I find that it is cool. Do not hesitate to be polite with them when you land in their fields. You can also go to the AirGlacier location to buy their goodies (cap, Tshirt,...). I think it is a good occasion to thank them for respecting us. Take care, Franz #1141
  5. Hi, this bridge is under very close watch due to too high activity. A lot of case of problems are existing due to calls from drivers that thought people were committing suicide. Notice that the wind protection are very high. Be careful and be discrete on that site. Take care, Franz #1141

  9. Hello, I read a few month ago a post from a Icelander basejumper but I can't find it anymore. Can you get in touch with me as I would now if jump are possible in Iceland. I saw an A and I wanted to have info on it. Take care, Franz #1141
  10. Hi, I am surprise to see such agressiveness in the last posts. Each country has rules and need to be respected. First of all I can assure you that Norway is not waiting for Base jumpers to be a rich country ! You need to assume your acts. Smoking is illegal, that is the law. We could also say the the park rangers in the country over the pond are bast.... because they take the rigs in National parks. What is the price of loosing a rig or having a fine to pay comparing to the amount paid by certain guys in Norway ? A drop in the ocean. I think when we talk about Base ethics and rules it includes respecting the laws, nature and people especially in a foreign country. As a conclusion lets focus on the great job done by the Stavanger Base Klubb and hope that the show can continue during a long time in Kjerag. Take care, Franz #1141
  11. Hello, this event was a perfect and smooth Norvegian organisation. Our group "the French Touch" learned a lot during the stay. All aspects were covered like materials, packing, flying position and that thanks to the dedication of people like Stein, Karine, Kevin, Robert and of course many more people. The evening parties were also great Take care and hope to see you soon. François #1141

    Kjerag

Hi, I had the FJC in Kjerag last year and it was perfect. The team is great and learns you a lot of things. The aim of this FJC is to give you all the information and training to have success in your jump. I think that beginning with a cliff is not a big issue in Kjerag. With 1000 meters and nice exit points you have plenty of time to track and to get away. Personally I would recommend this place for beginners especially if you are in Europe as it is the nearest place to learn. Take care, Franz #1141
  13. Hi, I am jumping a Minolta Dimage 5Hi with 5 millions of pixel. The speed is very good (about 2 or 3 shots per seconds) and quality is amazing. The other advantage is that you have a 28mm already on this camera. See you in the air, Franz #1141

  15. Hello, I have one question considering emergency exit from an airplane. I read in a recent discussion that the skydiver were "respecting" the delay between jumpers at 2000 foot from a plane with only one motor working. My feeling would me more to do a kind of continuous exit every second and then track and open. For that I see two main reasons, which is to facilitate the job of the pilot and to escape quickly from a messy situation. Thank you to give me your opinion and maybe the best practices. See you in the air, Franz #1141
