  1. Welcome to Finland. You have your own rig and OFCOURSE you pack for yourself. And you pay about 24€ a jump + 4€ extra for not being a club member. If you want to borrow a club-rig you pay 4€ extra / jump. Ofcourse I'd lend my own rig to you for free. You can always bargain for the packing prices. Cheap, huh? 100LL costs only 2,38€/ltr nowadays. We burn it about 1,2 ltrs / minute. We are all clubs, no commercial thingies. We just do the club jobs for the love to the skydiving. You're welcome to do the clubwork to reduce your skydiving fees Ofcourse You're welcome anytime. Just don't exept it to be cheap. We just LOVE foreigners. >If God meant for man to fly, He´d have given him much more money. McG, DZ EFVA dictator
  2. Healthy flying means about 30 mins / load to 10K. Diesel is quicker, other gimmicks (wingtips etc.) help too. How much do you have time? Do you have a spare pilot? We've done 28 loads a day with 182H, with one pilot having a 15 min lunchbrake and coffee in the plane on the way up. It was a lot. >If God meant for man to fly, He´d have given him much more money. 3. I hate to admit but this comment was so true. I would like to blame others everytime things do not go the way I wanted. Usually It's me who sucks. ** >If God meant for man to fly, He´d have given him much more money. McG, DZ EFVA dictator
  4. In 70's I saw a jumper bounce and I thought "gee, that looks exciting". It took me about 15 years to overcome the horror to take a course and do my first static line. Then it took me about 25 jumps to overcome the horror to jump. I am still kind of surprised I survived. ** >If God meant for man to fly, He´d have given him much more money. McG, DZ EFVA dictator
  5. I think there is something wrong with your rigs if you don't feel comfortable having them on. --- >If God meant for man to fly, He´d have given him much more money. McG, DZ EFVA dictator
  6. I posted a pic of mine here some time ago, but I just cannot find it anymore. So maybe i can do it again... --- >If God meant for man to fly, He´d have given him much more money. McG, DZ EFVA dictator
  7. With white i got pretty nice effect. No extra time, no extra fee, no extra bad words from PD. --- >If God meant for man to fly, He´d have given him much more money. McG, DZ EFVA dictator

    Flaming Footie

We've started to explore hammershleering (is that the proper word?) with a flaming cannonball. Awesome when dark, oiled bodies, torches etc... I boldly stole one of J-Stone's pics, lets see if I can add it here --- >If God meant for man to fly, He´d have given him much more money. McG, DZ EFVA dictator
  9. Why to wait for the 100th? And we've made it even when freezing at the groundlevel too Once we decided to surprise our lady pilot by undressing before entering the plane. She wondered 'what's up?' and I told her 'nothing special, just a naked load'. So she said 'oh, ok' and undressed too -- >If God meant for man to fly, He´d have given him much more money. 11. "Dear diary, I am writing you now for the very first time because you never answered my second post..." Log the usual things like dates, altitudes, maneuvers, fellows and so on. But the MOST important is to write down your inner most feelings. THAT is what you'll love to read years later. Reading my diary of my first jumps I still can recall the atmosphere, me being nervous, the odors... > >If God meant for man to fly, He´d have given him much more money. McG, DZ EFVA dictator
  12. Quoteyes, historic planes rock. I just adore the museum -registred DC-3. I even sat a moment in the bathroom when climbing to the altitude. >If God meant for man to fly, He´d have given him much more money. McG, DZ EFVA dictator
  13. The drills with experienced jumpers are the best. They never come back. Weird. >If God meant for man to fly, He´d have given him much more money. McG, DZ EFVA dictator
  14. Some of us already stated the data. Sorry Sangiro I dont know the lattitude o ' " -thingies, but the ICAOs start EF (civil aviation adminstration can help you with all of them; http://www.ilmailulaitos.fi/home ) and the map of Finnish dropzones you find here; http://www.ilmailuliitto.fi/laskuvarjo/kerhot/ Most of the dz´s are small, and cosy but all of them friendly. >If God meant for man to fly, He´d have given him much more money. 15. Well if you just ask how long did he walk, so: 10 minutes I guess. The distance is a bit more difficult thing... *** >If God meant for man to fly, He´d have given him much more money. McG, DZ EFVA dictator
