  1. Even though my current coverage is a group policy, it is VERY expensive and the coverage is not very good.
  2. I know there are other insurance related posts, but things are changing so fast, I want very current information. I'm considering changing insurance from my employer to a personal policy. The most affordable option I've found, though, specifically excludes injuries related to high risk activities. I called, and they consider skydiving a high risk activity. Does anyone have any good suggestions for affordable comprehensive policies or for inexpensive accident only policies that I can pair with the other policy? Thanks for any help.
  3. Em, Thinking of you today. I miss you. Everyday.
  4. I can't say enough positive things about this dropzone. The staff was friendly and professional, and things seemed to run incredibly smoothly. We were welcomed, and immediately made to feel at home. I will certainly go back!
  5. Thank you for the info! I appreciated all of it!
  6. A good friend of mine who lives far, far, away is looking for a good place to do a first time tandem in the Milwaukee or Kenosha areas. The DZ dropzone listing does me little good as I know where neither of those places are. Does anyone have a recommendation of a good dropzone for a tandem jumper near there?
  7. I haven't posted because I don't even know what to say. I will miss his smile, his hugs, his positive outlook on every aspect of life, and his ability to spread his infectious happiness. This is such an incredible loss that I haven't even begun to process it.
  8. Boobies, boobies, boobies. I will miss you so much. You helped me keep my sanity on more than one occassion and I'm not sure what I'll do without your smiling face, many hugs throughout the day, coming in and shutting the door when I clearly needed the break and the the back rubs when I can't see anything but the numbers on the computer monitor anymore. It hasn't been the same without you for the last 50 some days and it will never be quite the same again. You've left a permanent impression on my life. I love you. Boobies, boobies, boobies. Somewhere, I know that made you smile.
  9. I know there are a lot of jumpers who are also pilots, and I'm looking for some help with a gift idea. A friend of mine is a pilot with an RV6A who has approximately 300 hours of flight time, a large portion of it is learing/performing aerobatics. Is there anything really cool (such as a gift certificate for a certain type of advanced instruction or a flight in a specialty plane) that any of you would recommend? Thanks in advance for any ideas you may have.
  10. Didn't have time to say, "Thank you!" yesterday. So....THANK YOU!
  11. I know it's on here somewhere, but I have an assignment due in 20 minutes and don't have time to look. Is there anyone that can give me the citation for the FAR that requires reserves to be packed by a certified rigger and repacked every 120 days? If you know all the legal citations ala paper style, more the better, but anything will help. Thanks!
  12. Hum, Joe, I think you should buy 10 jumps for your favorite student coordinator.....just my opinion....
  13. There's a link on the first post of this thread for the paypal account.
  14. I happened to be her son's teacher and spoke at his funeral. I have to say that having been there and experienced that, I'm all for this legislation. There most certainly are responsible teenage drivers, but for every one of them, there are at least two others who don't have the judgment to make the important decisions related to driving. Spending five minutes in a high school classroom on a Monday morning makes that quite evident.
  15. My university had the entire article, but the abstract is the only thing that I've been able to find online, sorry. If anyone can find the entire article, I'd love to read it too. The abstract was interesting and got my attention.
