NEVER send anything to Camcorder Clinic in Tampa, FL. My brother sent one in, took 1 month to get back. Fixed it for $149. Free estimates. The mother uckers ucked me. I sent my PC 101 in and the problem was that it wouldn't let me record, the eject signal was flashing and making that 'ding da ding da ding' sound. Before I sent it in, I could put a tape in the camera. Since they sent it back, I can't put a tape in AND there is a white piece inside that sticks up half an inch. I called them and told him that and he said 'all of our staff is sony certified, bla bla bla. He wouldnt' even listen to what I had to say before he went into his usually speech. I think that these places, take out your good stuff and put in broken shit and send it back to you. I am going to look into taking him into court. Calling the Better Business Bureau on them. Oh, they never called once, I called once a week and they said, call next week. I am sick of these companies taking advantage of us.

No you won't be banned from the other planes. Not even from the Cessna. Just the way you said it, wasn't that cool. I don't want fun jumpers to come over all the time, not YET! My place is a tandem operation, with a bad ass Boogie once a year! You know what they charge for a scenic flight for 1 hr is? $100-150 per person per hr. Minimun of 2 people. So fun jumpers get the scenic flight for FREE. You are paying for the jump. The scenery is Free. Now that is a great deal for only $22. Tandem prices are not high at all, all the other places are too low. Thanks Pope, CanuckinUSA and other for saying what a great dz this is. You know, you've been here and will always continue to come here because its the most scenic dz in the USA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We are very small dz and we cater to the tandem students. Soon, we'll be able to cater to fun jumpers, don't get me wrong, if you show up and there is a slot on the plane, you're on it. It really should be $40 a jump to 10,000'. What you get for that money is the most amazing country you'll ever see!! Moab Airport's field elevation is 4550'. From June-Aug. In the morning at 7am the density altitude is 5500-6000'. This is nice feedback. Thanks! I will address a few points later today. But I'll leave you with "If you don't want to pay $22 for a cessna 206 jump then DON'T. Stay on the ground. But when I'm organizing the 'special cessna loads' during the boogie, Guess who won't be on it! FYI Fuel prices in the middle of the desert is 3.40 for both Jet A and 100LL. Do the math. Lets see 12 gallons per load @ 3.40 is $41. Just for the fuel. Add on the cost of the plane, because we lease it, $130 dry/hr, plus pay for the pilot. Hmmm That's $120 plus the pilot per load, I would say that the total cost to put up a load to Altitude is $144. Put 6 people in the plane @ $22 per load is $132. We lose $12 per load. Hmmm. PERFECTLY said Rob. I love the handcam also. Thanks for making it for me. I did some mods on it so it's perfect now. I added and extra strap around the wrist/arm. There are a few local jumpers in town. More than just the slickrock campground clowns!!!!!!!!!! hehe!

When I check the primary RC on the Vector rig, I try to do it nice and smooth. It's actaully pretty cool angle. You go from the students face and then the camera angle points straight down at the ground. I hold the handle for 1-2 seconds. As for the reserve ripcord, still trying to perfect the angle but I'm trying to get the drogue in the shot when I'm touching the RRC. That's taking some practice but it's cool to see the drogue. -

There is this one guy that came out last month. Jumped 170' opened perfect, did nothing afterward, hit the ground and separated his shoulder. The jump gives you 5-6 seconds of canopy time with a PCA. He did his 100 skydives and then stopped. The town doesnt even know about this, so no perception there.

Good Point. We charge 69 VHS and 85 DVD for outside Video. We charge 59 VHS and 75 DVD for handcam. $10 makes a difference???

We live in the desert in Utah. We are not a busy dz so bringing in a pilot is super hard. We know, trust me. I already did put a post in the classifieds. I just can't name names.

Hey Y'all, This jumper does not skydive now and if he did skydive this incident probably wouldn't have happened. Has 90 skydives and hasn't made a skydive in 4-5 years. I was not there but my wife was. A very current BASE jumper exited off of Wallstreet(rock climbers named it so it should be legal to say here, right Tom) Good body position, opened up with a 120 to the right. Released the left toggle to turn away from the wall. That didn't work for obvious reasons. So he reached over with his right hand and pulled the left toggle even further. He hit the wall at that point. Rolled down the wall and landed in a tree. IF the tree wasn't there, lots of broken bones and other wonderful things that we fear! So again, what do you think about BASE jumpers not skydiving anymore? On a side note, I heard that this is happening now in Norway, is this true? If you want to go to Norway, you MUST have 250 skydives or 250 BASE jumps. Our friend just went to Norway and he just took a BASE 1st jump course and made 80 BASE jumps in 1 month. They told him that you can't jump here unless you have 250....something???

I have tried a MR. BILL with a tandem. I held on for 5 seconds until the final opening shock. That was a bad ass shot. >I am willing to bet that most people who shoot outside video would be willing to put their work against a handcam! BRING IT ON! Just wait 2-3 years from now. It will be 50% handcam and 50% outside video. THere are pros and cons for both. Let the students decide!
