  1. Skydivers will talk with each other, so word of mouth is a big thing. Sponsor a handful of well known and people who travel to events, boogies, big ways...

  2. The dust devil I ran into caught me 10 ft off the ground, took us up to 40 ft or so going backwards. Collapsed the canopy, dropped us to 5 ft above the ground. Re-inflated the canopy, snapped us back up to 25 ft or so, horizontal and then dropped us to the ground. After all that fun we got drug 100 ft across the ground until I could disconnect the rsl and cutaway.
That was a tandem in PA.

  3. Apparently, Collins foundation will no longer be letting their B17 to be used for jumping. A good friend who has been organizing yearly jumps in my area with them was told "no more".
As for a B24 or B25, good luck. They were never set up to easily get passengers from the cabin area to the bombbay. The crew had to crawl though the tunnel in order to get from the front to the back.

  4. With the wide variety of people on here I am hoping that someone has a membership to club 33 and would be willing to make me a reservation.

I am planing a special trip with my gf and would love to propose to her there.
    Any help would be great.

  5. I had a burst fracture of my L1 vertebrae after having a canopy collapse.
I was reinforced with a cage, screws and rods.
I waited a full year before jumping again at my doctors recommendations.
I was strong enough and ready after 6 months, but as he said, the bone takes a year to fully regain its strength.

  6. I now have all of my insurance with State Farm. My life policy covers death related to jumping, with a hefty rider on it. Motorcycle is covered, rig is covered, and my agent is a skydiver too.

  7. 10 more days until Jen's ashdive weekend.
There are some changes for the weekend.
It will now be Saturday and Sunday only.
The PAC fell through so I have gone bigger and badder. We will have a Skyvan for the weekend.
Jumps are still only $22. No credit cards, cash or check only.
If you are in the area or want a weekend getaway come out to Maytown Sport Parachute Club and help me honor Jen the way she wanted, with jumping, drinking, stories and friends.
Jim Smith will be organizing RW and Jamie Sides said he would organize FF. There will also be some CRW jumps happening too.

  8. There is less then a month to go until Jen's ashdive weekend.

    There has been some changes.
My deal to have a PAC-750 fell through.
I have managed to secure a Skyvan for Saturday and Sunday.

I want everyone to come out and have a good time.
Jump tickets are still only $22. No credit cards. Cash or check with 15 forms of ID, or your gear as collateral. ;)

  9. It has been almost 7 months since my Scout, Jennifer Galbraith left this world. I have been working on fulfilling her wishes of having her ashes scattered on a skydive. This is the information.

I have arranged to have a PAC750 for the weekend of June 27, 28, 29 At Maytown Sport Parachute Club in Maytown, PA.
Jen wanted to be celebrated, not mourned and that is what we are going to do.
I want to invite anyone who would like to come and jump that weekend to be there.
The ashdive will be on Saturday afternoon/evening followed up by a cook out on site. There will be lots of jumping, drinking, lying, and story telling, as it should be.
Jen loved skydiving so much. It helped make her who she was, so please come out and be apart of this.

PAC750 along with the clubs two 182's
PAC jumps will be $22, I am not making any money on this.
Jim Smith will be there to organize belly jumpers
There are a lot of championship winning CRW dogs that call Maytown home.
