  1. And I know Kallend from the "olden days" of rec.skydiving but we've never actually met
  2. It's up to each individual CCI to look at someone's experience (logbook) and decide where to fit them into the "system". The medical requirements for over 40s don't apply to visiting jumpers as long as they fulfil the requirements in their home country. Obviously a low time jumper with less than 100 jumps is going to attract a lot more scrutiny than a very experienced jumper with "dues paid". In any event, you will need temporary BPA membership but, if you're staying for an extended period, you will need full BPA membership, currently 162 GBP. You won't have a problem at my Centre but I can't speak for any others.
  3. Thanks for all your efforts. I've ordered a couple from the States and I found a stockist in the UK too so I think I'm all set. Colin
  4. 'Fraid not. That's the battery for the regular Time-Out. The Evolution uses the Keeper II LTC-3PN-S2 made by Eagle Picher in the US. Told you it was a weird one! :)
  5. If you can find them I'd be grateful. I wanted something for the weekend as I'm off to Spain for a few days but it's not that important as I can borrow an audible for the time being. I just don't really want to scrap a perfectly good unit for the want of a battery. Email me if you find anything and thanks. Colin
  6. It's an audible altimeter made by Cool 'n Groovy but they stopped being made before you started jumping. It was a sound piece of kit but it was soon out-designed by the Dytter family of audibles. However, mine works fine but needs a new battery.
  7. This is a bit of a long shot but I need a battery for a Time-Out Evolution. Anyone know where I can get one in the UK at short notice? If so, call me at the DZ at Tilstock on 01948 841111 or email me at [email protected]. Thanks Colin Fitzmaurice
  8. Very sad news. Adrian was my friend and it is a great loss to the sport.
