  1. Happy Birthday Paul! I'm so glad you'll have the weekend off and we can catch some air and eat some cake! Hope you had a great day but your birthday celebration will go on all weekend!
  2. Here is a picture of me drawing that winning ticket. A good time was had by all. If anyone has a severely drought stricken county that needs rain, we'll take the highest bidder to hold the LFL boogie there next year!
  3. THAT is a whole new innuendo to Sushi . . .
  4. I agree with you. JohnMitchell is probably waiting for my post here. I'm pulled in two different directions because my parents want me buried and have a plot for me already. John wants me cremated. This was a huge issue when I was in the hospital a few years ago in a coma and the doctors told my family I wasn't going to make it. I think I'd rather be cremated and save the real estate, but I don't want to be scattered. No ash dive for me. So comprimise - Bury the top half and cremate the rest. I really don't like thinking about you like that. You make me sound like a mermaid. When my daughter was little and "The little Mermaid" was out in theaters she asked us if you could only eat the bottom half on a mermaid.

  6. I of course wasn't on the load. I was not feeling well so had taken some medication that made me sleepy and slept most of the day in someone's trailer. John came in to check on me after the jump and told me about it matter of factly. He asked me what I thought because it was still bothering him if the decision had been a correct one. I told him that since Jim was fine that he did the correct thing. Who knows what might have happened if he hadn't done that. Too many scenarios to imagine really and it just wasn't worth saying "What If". Especially since what he did ended well. John is excellent in making good decisions like this in a split second. Jim is not the only one he's ever saved when when the clock was ticking. A few years ago he got an award for Air Traffic Controller of the year because he helped a pilot during his journey trying to get to his family for a Thanksgiving Day holiday in bad weather. My baby is absolutely awesome in life and death situations. He's my hero as well for more reasons than this. He's saved my life many times. I wouldn't be here without him.
  7. Dana noticed that too. You have to have the right tool to do the job, if you don't.... You aren't going to get the job done.
  8. OMG! I have a Birthday thread! Woot! Thanks everyone! And my poor hubby isn't even around today. That's why he didn't post. (He did get me some new lip gloss and a new gun for my birthday though. ) He had to work today. So I'm hanging out with Dana here in the heat box that I call my house drinking yummy beer. I really should get some air conditioning for those three days a year it gets hot like this huh?! I'll be at LP next weekend! Can't wait!
  9. /3/0 Had a blast! Here is a picture of Roo's awesome pocket we did for her new suit. It's all iridescent and shiny. Loaded Roo's two jump videos on Facebook if you want to see them.
  10. Yes, we have that but we've been a little back logged at the moment. We'll get that up on the web page here shortly too! Tell your kids web development team that you'll stop providing food and lodging paying them if they don't get on it. Well my web development team doesn't live here anymore and has a job at Harvard in Boston. So that's not going to work anymore.
  11. Yes, we have that but we've been a little back logged at the moment. We'll get that up on the web page here shortly too! Thanks so much for helping us with that! You are so awesome! More prizes coming in all the time that may or may not be up on the web site yet!
  12. Happy Birthday Pat!! Hope you have a great day!
  13. Spoilsport! Good luck with the raffle. Let me know if I win anything (besides the date w/ Valinda).
  14. You want a poster of my avitar? They printed that picture HUGE in the new Blue Skies Magazine that just came out. Did you see that?
  15. Many people bought tickets last year from dropzone.com and many people won! You don't need to be present to win. We'll ship your prize to you after the drawing if you won.
  16. I've always said age is not a number but an attitude. That said..... right now it's 52. next year it will be 53. He's great too!
  17. I know it was requested but I thought it would be in the article much smaller. John brought it up to me this morning, before leaving for work, with it open to the article and it was kind of shocking to see how they laid that out! My daughters groaned when they saw it. They don't like that picture. I don't know why.
  18. Wow! That picture of me in that article couldn't be any bigger could it? Krisanne did an amazing job writing that article. You might still be able to get that first issue if you didn't get it already but subscribing here. http://blueskiesmag.com/subscribe/ It looks like it's going to be a good mag!
  19. We actually had a big family bday party for him on Thursday and let him open his presents then, because we all knew he'd want to jump today. But of course I may have a couple extra presents for him to unwrap tonight after jumping.
  20. Just wanted to say Happy Birthday to the sexiest skydiver EVER!!! He's been out at the DZ all day today. It's a perfect day today. Not to hot, not too cold. Blue skies! Making fun jumps and tandems all day. He just got down from taking a guy on tandem from 18+K. He's had a smile on his face all day long. There's even a nice big birthday cake for him sitting over there on the table. And it's chocolate!
  21. Happy Birthday! Hope you have a great day!
  22. So good to hear from you!! We were really worried about you! Still are but it's just such a relief to hear from you!! I've always said: "To be in pain, means you are alive, and that's a good thing." However John is also correct. Make sure they are giving you good pain meds that work for you. There are a lot of different combinations they could try. I suggest you try them all until you find one you like! Keep in touch! We are looking forward to hanging out with you again!! You will continue to be in our thoughts and prayers for a speedy recovery. Let us know if we can do anything!
  23. No, that's called Confirming John's statement. And John pays attention to me because I pay attention to him.
