  1. True, but I've learned at AFF that you pull your reserve in an emergency exit between 1000 and 3000 ft... But I guess the main is safe enough or am I wrong here? Do one thing every day that scares you - Baz Luhrman: The Sunscreen Song
  2. Armageddon. I can't quite remember it, but I'll try: "It's not tragic to die doing what you love" Do one thing every day that scares you - Baz Luhrman: The Sunscreen Song
  3. So i heard right then, it will take a while and a lot of jumps. That's ok. I happen to love jumping. greetings Do one thing every day that scares you - Baz Luhrman: The Sunscreen Song
  4. Interesting site, I bookmarked it for the future... Sort of AFF for skysurfing it seems to me. thanks Do one thing every day that scares you - Baz Luhrman: The Sunscreen Song
  5. Let me start by saying that I do understand that with my 21 jumps I'm still way of going to skysurf but it is just that i'm thinking of what way I want to go in our beautiful sport. I've heard that before you are allowed to surf you need to have quite some freefly jumps and skills. How many is that and did I hear right? It's just that I love snowboarding and wavesurfing, so skysurfing looks just as much fun to me. That way I can control three out of the four elements with a board... When the time comes I will surely contact experienced surfers but for now: I don't know any... Could some of you help me with my questions? greetings Do one thing every day that scares you - Baz Luhrman: The Sunscreen Song
  6. A good thing to read that the passengers can be hooked up quickly. Then you just have to deal with freaked out passengers
  7. I haven been wondering about this a long time and I couldn't come up with an answer for this one: I always see the tandem passengers being hooked up around 7000 (?) ft and they exit at 9000. But what happens when the plane gets into an accident and all jumpers have to exit immediately. Say all this happens at 5000 ft, so no tandem passengers have been hooked and are blocking the exit. What is the procedure? Can the passengers quickly being hooked and exit? greetings Do one thing every day that scares you - Baz Luhrman: The Sunscreen Song
  8. Exactly the same advide I got to solve any instability problems: relax... Like that's easy to learn. However, it does work. Now, when I do a backward exit and want to come stable again, I arch, smile and relax and I turn rightaway. Super! Do one thing every day that scares you - Baz Luhrman: The Sunscreen Song
  9. Like an instructor of mine once told us: A RSL costs a few dollars/euros. Your life is worth much more so NEVER EVER rely on it. Cut away and pull reserve. I had to pull my reserve for the first time two weeks ago because nothing happened after throwing the pilot. These words ran through my mind and I landed safely on my reserve. Did cost me a crate of beer, but that's also a small price...
  10. I hadn't strapped my goggles tight enough on my AFF tandem, so it kind of sticked to my forehead... I completed the rest of the course without a lot of troubles (after tightening the goggles of course). Like my AFF jumpmaster said: I don't care how you do the exercises in the jump. I just want to see you relax and enjoy the freefall. Ok, and pull of course at the set altitude... Enjoy the ride!
