  6. I have the same problem with my raynox lens. I believe it may have something to do with the lens being concave. it may create some type burble effect? a royal lens is flat. I am going through the exact problem. I just bought a kenko .42 which allows 3/4 zoom through and no fog jimoke The ground always, remembers where you are!
  7. It is still a pretty cool idea. The ground always, remembers where you are!
  8. I use the hc3, I have tried many lenses. sony 0.6 model vcl 0630x borrowed royal 0.3 $150. titanium .45 I forget, around $125 royal 0.5 $138. piece of crap, sunpak 0.5 $38. raynox 0.3 $108. I have not tried the liquid/cookie lenses yet. I currently use the raynox and love the quality of the image when played on the hdtv via hdmi cable. raynox 0.3 allows the user to zoom 75% with no distortion at all. this is useful for me when tandems land across the field, not that important for most vidguys. the royal 0.3 lens is a slightly wider- angle shot but tends to blur progressively towards the outter edges. the problem that seems to happen with my raynox is, the outter lens is concave where the royal lens is flat. I am noticeing a small fog spot that tends to appear right in the center. I have used catcrap lens treatment and it seemed to work but still on humid days it happens. I compare this to others shooting on the same loads when they seem to have no fog. the raynox has no threads for a filter so I will try covering the concave lens with a filter flipped threads out and tape it to the raynox lens its a large lens though, like 62mm or so. http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/497456-REG/Raynox_HD_3032PRO_HD_3032PRO_37mm_0_3x_Semi_Fisheye.html HD is awesome! you won't be disappointed with the quality. 12. launch forward? do you mean launch outward to the left? a half barrel roll off to the left. douglas, perfect the rear poised exit from this king.....if you are a big guy, you tend to block the TM from climbing completely out. king 90 exits are difficult for the TM already, especially big guys. a tandem video guy needs to be transparent and not interfere with the TMs already tough task at hand. with tandems "agressive tracking" could turn to corking, quickly, and we all know thats not good. I am not sure if your asking for technique in flying down the hill on your back? or leaving a difficult aircraft from the front float position? personally I wouldn't leave the king from the front. I agree with vdschoor. leave from the rear and roll on your back. sliding down the hill on your back might take some practice. working with the same TM constantly will help with your timing for exit. every TM is different and exit counts vary. the photos are not from a king air, they are shots of a front float exit from a caravan. 13. I average about 65 shots overall. I give a cd and 2 8x10s for an additional $35 after purchase of DVD. when people see thier 8x10s, ten mins. after they land, they usually go for it and purchase the full package. 70%+ I want all my customers are completely satisfied. stay safe, jimoke The ground always, remembers where you are!
  14. I used to clip to the rsl shackel on my wing to the leg strap buckle on my javlin. after 3 hard seasons my leg straps were showing wear and my rigger grounded it until my leg straps were replaced by sunpath. now I use 1" plastic clips which are attached below my legstrap on my thigh. this postion works well with the shape of my wings. flying camera wingsuits adds yet another factor to the whole flying around with snag hazzards on your head thing. some suits take tweaking with swoop cords and attatchment points.........make sure your handles are not blocked and you cannot reach through the bottom of your wing, this could cause a nasty horse shoe malf. 15. I view my hc3 on a 32" lcd sony bravia. which is where the HDMI cable comes in, it was about $60. but the picture is well worth it. it blows away my vx 2000. The ground always, remembers where you are!
  16. I purchased the hc 3 last season. I have jumped with vhs-c, hi 8, trv 7,10,11, 27 and vx2000. the quality of the hc 3 is by far the best picture I have ever seen. the size as far as top mount is the smallest camera to date. I am happy with the purchase and will never go back to sd. I am also glad you post on dz.com because you are a wealth of knowledge when it comes to hdv. thanks for sharing as much as you do. 20. 30 years ago, at 13 years old I was attacked by an "until then" friendly dog St.Bernard. well, he was 10 lbs.heavier than I was, about 130 lbs. He approached in a pace half running. as he lunged at me I was able to block my face as he crunched his big fat teeth through my left forearm. after what seemed an eternity, he let go, I showed him my back and balled up until he was bored. I ran screaming to grandma's house. I was wearing a hooded sweatshirt, my gram had to extract the fabric of the sweatshirt out of my forearm.....there were no punctures in the material. my forearm had about a quarter sized hole in it requireing 3 stiches on top 5 on the bottom......thats big fat teeth. no bone damage occured. I still love dogs of all breeds, even rotties and pit bulls. But, I am 250lbs and not afraid of any solo dog attack. I will fuck that dog up with no remorse and now, I know another way "how to do it" I applaude this man for ridding the community of a potential child killer. stay safe, jimoke The ground always, remembers where you are!

  23. wow....... after champu's post I was going to say ummmm, this High Def stuff is hard to keep up with, I just thought they were better? the picture quality is impressive. stay safe, jimoke The ground always, remembers where you are!
  24. I have a sony vx 2000. I purchased a sony hc3 months ago the hc3 is the best quality I have seen. it is also the smallest camera I have jumped to date. keep in mind you need a HD television with a HDMI cable direct to tv and you will be amazed at the crispness and overall picture quality. unfortunately editing for HD seems only available for computers. not ideal for tandem videos. if you buy one you will be satisfied.......if your not, I will buy it from you for a backup. I also have only used the sony HD minidv tapes which are $17.US each at bestbuy stay safe, Jimoke The ground always, remembers where you are!
  25. if you are skinny, lift up your shirt and show your ribs, explain you haven't eaten in days, because you spent all your food money on photo paper and ink. all too often this is the truth. a video flyers work is worth money. if your slot was not paid for, you need to recover that cost as well. every thing you buy costs you money, why give awesome pictures away for free?.........unless it's a hot chick.
