Dude, I don't see any B's anywhere on those rigs...
-
Sounds pretty hooked up. I did both of mine right in a row this last Monday morning . Boy was that a riot, I was shaking, have'nt come down shaking since the Gorge. Soft landings Adam

"While there were some winds, the conditions didn't interfere with anyone's deployment, or canopy flight." I agree. I was third off the rock, and though there was some marginal wind, it was just that, marginal. I felt comfortable doing the manuever I did regardless of the wind, and I am a wuss, so that goes to show you, too, it wasn't real bad.

"do you really believe this?" Absolutely. My system wouldn't have hung up regardless of delay type.
-
"Someone dying because of a f**king rubber band is not cool" You're telling me... bottom line for me is, why even use a rubber band that can possibly hang up? Done right, yes, it will work fine, hundreds of times even. I have been using masking tape for a lot of things lately, and that is pretty hard to f*%k up. They used to use rounds... oh, and it was pleasure at the 2005 boogi... ehr 2004 until next time

I think personally, no matter if people call you the best or not, there is always someone out there in, who knows, Botswana that is better. Just a matter of nobody has heard of them. Then, after they do hear, someone else is probably better than that guy, etc. I think the best is a word best () used like this, "He/she was one of the best". .02

Nice work dude! You gotta tell me about that one for sure. Congratulations.

I would have to say yes, he has taught me, whether he realized it or not. A lot of people have. Miles, though, taught me about pushing limits, I have watched (and heard of) him do things I never would imagine doing. Now I am at a point (in one year) where I never imagined I would ever be. The first aerial I saw in real life was Miles doing a wild turkey, or something or other, in Twin. That was close to six months ago, and I just did my first double gainer off of MG in Moab last week. I have done more than a dozen triples off of the potato, numerous other aerials. Not that that is meant to impress, but I never imagined I would be where I am right now, and at least a little of that motivation came from, yes, "the world famous" Miles Dasher. Second, I wouldn't want him to teach my family, no. I wouldn't want anyone to teach my family, solely because I wouldn't want them to BASE jump, it would scare me too much. So I guess that answers your questions, and I thank you, you made me think about that one . I think how Peter said it works well for me too, I don't always agree with my friends, but they will remain my friends. cheers everyone. Adam

"I would be pleased to jump with anyone who goes by the title, "the B Team". Nice work you guys." Thanks Mark, I appreciate that. Don't think I don't respect where you are coming from with this, I do. Looking forward to it. Adam

Though I think what JT said was out of line, I also don't like hearing people talk shit about my friends. Miles is one of the nicer people I have met on my short journey through BASE, and even if some of his antics may merit some criticism, I don't think critique is what is taking place here. I have heard good things from good people about you Tree, and that is why I am doing my best to write this as tactfully as possible. I just can't stand there and listen to you call a person who has treated me with nothing but respect a giant dick. Please don't take this as any kind of an attack, and don't think I am defending others actions, I will only defend my own (if they warrant defense). Anyway, I hope someday we will meet and share an exit point, but if being friends with Miles alienates me from that, then so be it. Peace Adam Foster

Did he have line twists on that jump?
-
Just an observation . Don't think i will be the one to tackle the math part either.
-
Kieran went second, I was third, we both did fronts, so it was one of us if it was Saturday.
-
Yeah, I clucked at him like a chicken right over the radio before he went... and he still didn't do a gainer. C'mon, I did it when YOU clucked.
-
"All A's" What about freestanders? They protrude out further the lower you get.
-
Sometimes the animal inside... well, you know.
-
Absolutely I think. With more initial snatch from a nice 2 second delay, it may have popped right off... but, it was borrowed gear packed by someone else, not great wind conditions. So I think (can't speak for P) there was some gear fear there too.
-
That is quite the badass pic there Brits, and some quite badass jumping you did, too. I only wish I would have jumped MG again, once just wasn't enough. Hell, I would like a nice pic of me from that angle too, that's sick. See you guys soon I hope. Adam

That's exactly what happened. Actually to our dear friend on borrowed gear. The setup used black rubber bands (full) and we asked someone who knew about multi's and she said they are cutting these black bands in half now. I know nothing about the multi, but I personally don't like it. Again I say personally, I know a lot of people like them/jump them and setup right I see the benefit. This particular situation ended in a hand held 1/2 second jump turning into a 3 1/2 second pilot chute tow. It was not cool. I don't know how people are setting up these multi's and I know that the recommended way is with half a black rubber band (or regular bands) but if anyone is still using a full black stow, DON'T! PLEASE! I almost lost a friend to a simple little rubber band (and then who would I jump with?). I was going to do a new thread, but hopefully enough people will see this and spread it around if it isn't already well known. I am not saying the multi is bad, I think what I am getting at is not done correctly (like with anything in this sport) it CAN kill you.
-
The PC in tow was VERY interesting and in my opinion deserves it's own thread. When I get time I will start that, if the person doesn't beat me to it. Factors included were the multi attachment point. If it wasn't off of the frozen pizza (i.e. a lower exit) it would not have been a good thing at all. More to come.

That was a wicked good time. I had a wonderful time meeting all the people that I did, and all that I didn't, well, maybe next time. Thanks again Jimmy and Marta, and everyone else who helped make it happen.
-
Dude, I wanna come back! That was wicked fun. I'm gonna call you soon and tell you about our Denver exploits. later

My Dagger has a wonderful glide ratio... hehe, what a shameless plug. So I am glad everything went well for you Steve, I have been putting in more time downtown and it paid off (in a lower way). Give me a call soon, I will let you know . Also, I am leaving for the playground on Wednesday and leaving on Monday of next week. Cya
