  1. Went there twice so far, nice place with their own Pilatus. Sometimes (check the schedule/calendar) they have a Beech 99 there that totally kicks *ss, it will get you up to 4km in ~10 minutes. They also host the "Go Vertical" once/twice per year where the Beech 99 goes to 4500 m each run for the regular ticket price, at a registration fee of 30 EUR. Free camping, shops and restaurants in Leutkirch town about 5/10minute drive away.

  2. I came to Saulgau after returning from Canada, just because it was the closest turbine DZ from Stuttgart. I found it to be a great place with very experienced jumpers (There's also a number of regulars from different US installations), very friendly staff and a really good vibe. That's why I made it my new home DZ. They have free camping, pay-per use showers (0,50 EUR/use) and good restaurants in range if there doesn't happen to be a BBQ. You will definitely have a good time here.

Even though there's no bunkhouse, there are hotels and hostels closeby for those who don't like (free) camping.

    DZ coordinates:
    Lat: 48° 1'46.74"N
    Lon: 9°30'23.39"E

  3. Made my AFF and license there. Very nice people, good atmosphere and the possibility to do jumps with very experienced skydivers at no additional charge.
I learned really much there, especially after getting my license.
Their Super Skylane 206 takes you to 3500m in about 2 minutes more than a porter, but its only got 3-4 seats and 3500 is usual drop altitude.
If you want a nice relaxing weekend with a few relaxing jumps, this is a good place to check out.

  4. This is the dropzone to go. It has people from Germany, France, Belgium, Luxembourg and the Netherlands jumping there, its a great international flair there and everybody gets along very well.
They have their own grand caravan and can organize a Skyvan to be there the next day should the capacity be needed. Online logbook and ticket handling are _terrific_.
Shop and Rigger are highly professional.
Very good freefly school just opened there recently, check them out at http://www.bffs.info
    I like it there!
