  1. Dorothy says she is boxing it up for UPS right now. 3 months of waiting looks like it is coming to an end!!
  2. I don't know about that but I started to build a cramp "GOT LEAD?"
  3. I did my pre 2nd jump out of a Cessna 182 on saturday at Madera Parachute Club (or whatever) and can say I actually enjoyed it. Dave the DZO looked my stuff over than said I think we will only put 2 others in with you on the load. Well when the time came it only ended up being two of us. Anyway, I can say I actually enjoyed it and it was different standing outside the aircraft hanging onto the strut. Launched the two way and had a great time. Anyway thought I would share, and prefer the bigger aircraft but wouldn't mind another Cessna jump. "GOT LEAD?"
  4. This won't help your situation any but I find this somewhat humorous. My caontainer has a had as big as a Mighty Mak 375 and as small ad a Navigator 280 in it. Come to think of it it has had a bunch of canopies in it. It was made for a PD340 but has had a Para Flight 370, Mighty Mak 375, Navigator 280, Silloutte 360, and of course the PD340 in it. The only issues were the Silloutte 360 was a tight as fit and the 280 was a tad loose. Now that is 95ft2 differences...sorry I find it kinda funny that 20ft2 is such a big deal with you "little" people "GOT LEAD?"
  5. It looks like there are alot of mixed points on the subject which i expected. Simply put, i have my "old" container (new total system here in a few weeks) that has a reserve approaching its 20yr and a Cyress out of date next month. i want to keep it in the air as a second and to rent out for big students and the XX canopies are not only cheap but able to handle 300lbs jumpers. I could replace the current reserve with another mighty Mak 335 but don't care to toss down $1400 to do so. Now if i could find a PD 305 or Precision 305 I might be willing to put the new Mighty Mak i just ordered in my old system and put in the 305 in the new, but shelling our $2400 for a new one would hurt. i hate to see my old system never used again because the container has life left and is set up for AFF and the works, plus i like to see guys over 225lbs able to go thru the training. Who knows maybe in the long run the rig and new canopies would pay for themselves and we'd have bigger guys in the sport, this is what im pondering. "GOT LEAD?"
  6. Thanks for your input. This is why im asking the questions. I do indeed have a rig that will hold it and it will be using it a spare rig. What other issues might I run into if the canopy fits in the container? "GOT LEAD?"
  7. thanks for the reply. Another question would be does anyone know the pack volume on these canopies (370ft2) "GOT LEAD?"
  8. Can any rigger pack a military reserve into a sport rig or do they have to a have a military rating? Is it legal to use a military reserve in a sport rig if it does not have a TSO, but obviously has the Mil. designation? I am refering to the Para-Flight XX (MC-4/5 canopies) "GOT LEAD?"
  9. HOLY CRAP! Sparky didn't know something for the firstime! I never thought i would see the day. Just kidding, love ya man "GOT LEAD?"

  14. Nothing wrong with any of it. One question though..why the Falcon as a main? You do realize they all F-111. If price is a question, check out some of the dealer sites, i believe Precison has a 35 or 40% sale right now...if it isn't Precision doing the sale i know of one dealer offering it. (i won't mention names of dealers on here though...you can message me for that) "GOT LEAD?"

  23. How many times do you see a jumper saying thank you? Well 2 years ago I was on this site asking HOW i could jump. I got a ton of direction (as well as "misdirection") and am happy to say i'm still here and am jumping. I would like to thank a few people (I know i will miss a TON of you, but thanks for the ones I forget). Thank you to Gold Coast Skydivers for giving me the opportunity to go thru AFF (damn I need ti make a trip back "home") Thanks to the U.S. govt. (indirectly) for letting me jump your military gear.... lol. thaks to everone on this forum for the help and influence (good and bad). And finallty to the manufacturers/stores hooking me up with brand new gear. Precision Aerodynamics (who could ask for more..going BEYOND the call..George you friggin rock!), Art at the Skydive Store (your patience is unbelievable even after a 100 phone calls), Relative Workshop (going the extra mile), and Strong Enterprises (again a ton of patience and the willingness to help a guy out). Thanks to everyone and hope to get some jumps in with you all eventually. Remember companies like these are the ones that make our fun possible...thank these guys once in awhile. "GOT LEAD?"
  24. Do NOT repeat DO NOT buy a Dell. We had 6 here in our office and they all took a shit within a year and we replaced them all. Take the advice of the other poster, have someone build one for you. I had mine build 6 yrs ago and have been upgrading ever since and only one have I had a problem and it was a CD drive that took a crap. It was an easy fix and I (yes me myself) was able to open it up and replace it...try things like that with a Dell with other components. Good example is we had a CPU fan go bad in one of our dells and Dell uses their own fan and they wanted to replace the whole friggin motherboard and processor which wasn't covered under warranty anymore. "GOT LEAD?"
  25. Don't forget the Precision Tandem as well. Although I think they are technically the same canopy. "GOT LEAD?"
