  1. The blondes I know like to be stuck in their boxes.
  2. There, I fixed it for you.
  3. I personally have absolutely no use for hunting, but don't care if someone else does, as long as the victim is of a plentiful species. What happens to the 20% of funds that doesn't go to satisfying wishes? Trips? "Expenses?"
  4. Cheney did the typical debate thing, where one answers whatever they want to answer, rather than the question asked. Asked about jobs (related to Cleveland unemployment and poverty), Cheney talked about education. The moderator was poor. Poor control of the questions, poor selection of questions. Really, this isn't Miss America. Why ask a question like "what qualifies you to be VP?" Translated, "how about giving us two minutes of gratuitous self promotion." Said she was going to ask about education, but did not. Said she was going to ask about health care, but did not. BTW, all the polls I've seen (CNN, Yahoo, NBC, CBS), except the ABC pundit exit poll of mostly Republicans, show Edwards won by a large margin. If you had to pick one, I would give only a slight nod to Edwards, based on content. Cheney did better on presentation, especially considering the bad position he had to defend. Cheney's closing statement was good; Edwards' was maybe a nice anecdote, but not a closing statement for a debate. Why was the debate done seated? Because Cheney cannot stand up for a substantial period.
  5. I don't know -- ask the wife. Probably because it's a bad Photoshop job, and you noticed that Kerry has a little head, and thought to yourself, "Hey, I like a little head."
  6. I voted, even though I don't know who he is, where he is, or what he coaches.

  8. You live in a flat area, and drive to the DZ. I usually fly to the DZ, which gives me an extra hop and pop logged each way. I don't care about that. What I care about is that, when I drive home (from DZ or from my local airport), I drive up the hill 700 feet to my house, which causes the Neptune to think I've taken off. One time, I turned on (pushed a button) the Neptune a day later, and it gave me the "Very slow climb rate" message, which means that the unit was already in the mode where it does rapid readings, consuming the most power. I don't get an extra jump logged from this, just the unacceptable battery life. Removing the screws/battery is unacceptable. Do it 100 times, and you will likely strip out the screws, damage the o-ring, etc. The batteries are also somewhat difficult to remove. This part of the Neptune operation is just poorly thought out. The great thing about the Cypres, when it came to market, was that you could just turn it on at the beginning of the day, it will do its job, then turn itself off (if you don't) after 14 hours. Previous units had to be dicked with for each jump. Dicking with the Neptune battery every day of jumping is just a PITA. Like I said, my workaround for the poor design was just to buy 22 batteries, which will last me about 3 to 4 years (at maybe 180 jumps per year), based on performance to date.
  9. Good thing you didn't just say you wanted a large penis, or you mighta woken up with a sore ass.
  10. Couldn't ya just wax them for free?
  11. So, did you contact eBay about this? Would be great to set up a sting. edited to add: I sent a fraud report to eBay, got the automatic answer. If it's not pulled by tomorrow, I'll contact the lone bidder.
  12. Two weeks doesn't sound like long enough. I've learned that one shouldn't push, even when feeling pretty well. I can't remember how long I took off jumping after the surgery, but it was at least 4-6 weeks. Couldn't find my favorite video link but try: http://www.malereproduction.com/14_varicocele.html and click the video link.
  13. 5 minutes with a sewing machine. If you can't do it, find a friend or a professional seamstress.
  14. That's an unacceptable work-around that they need to fix. It is an easy software fix, and I don't know why they don't just do it.
  15. So that threesome won't be so difficult to come by.
  16. Local sale is best, if you can find a buyer. They can try the gear, you can get paid in person. So, put up a notice on the bulletin board at the local DZ's, ask other jumpers whether they know anyone; eBay.
  17. Don't Bogart that energy bar, my friend, Pass it over, again....
  18. Bush was certainly not liking it, when Kerry quoted Bush's fathers book, talking about not going into Iraq since there was no way to win the peace. Interesting comment Bush made, when Kerry was complimenting him on his family members, the difficulties of a campaign, etc. Regarding his own daughters, Bush quipped something about keeping them on a leash. True, maybe funny, but totally inappropriate.
  19. Here is the Snoop Dog Shizzolated version of the transcript: http://www.asksnoop.com/shizzolator.php?url=http://www.cnn.com/2004/ALLPOLITICS/09/30/debate.transcript.1/index.html
  20. Is that a uvula piercing she has?
  21. I was unencumbered by the visuals (body language, facial expressions, leaning), as I was listening to an audio feed, not watching. Especially with the various camera shots, it's less distracting from what is actually being said. Bush may have waffled and whined a bit, but I think that his presentation style was a valid one. He should emphasize flexiblity in modifying strategy as an ongoing process, rather the "my way right or wrong, since we are on this course" rhetoric. Kerry seemed to emphasize Afghanistan as the sole seat of terrorists a bit too much. He did take the opportunity to clarify some of his positions. Both misspoke, but that should be of little concern. I often stumble over my words, too. I would prefer that my president do better than that, but it is not really the issue.
  22. The Thailand trip cost from the U.S. was less than the 300 way Eloy one, including everything, and was twice as long. Even if you were local to Eloy (no flight, car or hotel), the cost was about the same, after taking meals into account. Don't know, but you could go cross-correlate the rosters at the web sites, and tell us! My offhand guess would be maybe 240.
