Well I'm no expert, but having lived in Africa (South Africa) for sometime, this project looks like the typical Western solution to a problem of illiteracy/Education in Africa ...... some things seem to be missing 1. No power in rural areas for the most part 2. No tele communications, so no internet or phones The actual school and teachers would far prefer to see books, supplies, uniforms etc for their schools. I would say walk away much like you did 8 years ago, if it did not work then it will never work now, those issues you speak of and the resentment etc will only be a cancer in any future relationship. Be thankful for the time that person spent in your life and the lessons you were taught by loving them. There is no "perfect person" only a person perfect for that time in your life. Be open and honest with your son, he might not understand the full extent of what your saying, but in time he will be thankful you did. He is about to loose a significant member of the family, let him share time with his grandfather knowing it's close to the end. I had parents who lied to me about who my actual grandfather was, and even to this day my father refuses to talk about it, so to many other lies and miscommunication, it has resulted in a very distant approach I have towards my entire family unit. I have to agree, the fact that such classic elements of the Bond movies have been cast aside makes it less appealing to me.
