Whatever it takes to get someone's attention in this screwed up administration. Why is everyone so defensive? Jobless Stink Hippies in your lawn? Whatever...cause and effect I'd say. Cause - Do a poor job as President of the United States while displaying an incredible sense of arrogance and apathy during wartime will tend to result in Jobless Stink Hippies camping on your lawn. Especially if the war your country is fighting keeps smelling worse and worse.

Wave off at deployment altitude? We need to check the definition of DEPLOY. Alot of people responded to the poll as waving off at deployment altitude. The wave off is to signal "I'm about to DEPLOY". Actual deployment should take place at the planned altitude. Deployment is opening your container, not waving your arms around. If you are waving off at your deployment altitude, you are late on your deployment, Period. Plan your dive, dive your plan.

Baseball to me is the greatest thing on earth...I grew up with the sport and have been lucky enough to see the game played and coached properly from the little league to major league levels. For me, baseball combines the best of athleticism, strategy, and a bit of luck to make for high drama. Post season baseball is about my favorite time...I'm still reeling over the Yankees/Diamondback's world series in 2001. Being a fan of the game and not loyal to either team that year, I have to say it was about the most exciting series I have ever witnessed.

It's all about consequences... Let your cat roam...he/she might get shot with a pellet gun. I can accept that. It's a consequence to the roaming. But...also consider this... Shoot my cat/dog whatever with your pellet gun...I will thoroughly beat your ass. It's a consequence to the shooting. Anyone who doesn't treat animals kindly is not to be trusted in my book...

Well, for me...If I'd found skydiving during college, I would have dropped out and become a bum. I'm glad I didn't start jumping until I could really afford to support my habit. Now, as to my advice on how to handle the parents: Loose lips sink ships...keep it on the "down low"... Keep in mind, my advice comes from a guy who's parents never really supported any of my dreams so I just sort of cut them off in terms of seeking out their advice. Also, the less I shared with them...the less belly-aching I had to listen too. Now, they just accept it as part of who I am and we have no problems.

I live in Phoenix where it is hard to live in an area without an HOA. I can tell you, they are a pain in the ass...it almost seems as if the people who get on the HOA staff have got nothing better to do than hassle the homeowners for petty little things that none of the residents typically care about. I got nasty grams for 2 straight months because a 12 inch section of cable television wiring was white, and not painted to match the house. Now keep in mind, I painted it twice, but the shading was never quite "up to code". The HOA does nothing but get my blood pressure up. I'd much rather live 2 blocks over in the horse property neighborhood where all the residents live in peace!

We get caught laundering money, we're not going to white color resort prison. No, no, no. We're going to Federal pound me in the ass prison.

3 years...well, I totalled 14 jumps during those 3 years but I still consider that a layoff.

Amen to that...I have jumped a Racer for 10 years...and for me, the RSL on a Racer is not an option. I would jump an RSL on any other rig, but not the Racer for the simple reason listed above.

Ahhh, just thinking about 40 degrees on the water in winter makes me cringe. We rowed on the San Juaqin Delta...one of the best waterways to row on as it was glass smooth, 300 meters wide...and over 60 miles long. We would get some cargo tanker traffic when the tide was in, but alas...the ships just made it interesting. Do you remember the first time you found the "swing"? Getting all 8 hitting the catch cleanly and powerfully...boat got up out of the water for the first time and you really moved...hearing and feeling the bubbles under the hull? Cox is really giving it to you..."up two in two..." You are not tired, in fact...you get stronger...awesome feeling.

After college, I trained in a pair for 4 years with a partner from Fordham out of the Lincoln Park Boat Club in Chicago. Now, I pull on my erg every morning from the comfort of my living room...5K meters a day, 20-30K meters each week just to keep the blood flowing. I miss the sunrise on the water...

It was definitely 259...the funny thing was for that following year or so, the SDC drop zone record was larger than the recognized world record.

Illinois RW should be 259...completed and held for 2.3 seconds...unless a state record requires a 3 second completion...
