  1. .45 ACP My pistol is a 1911 (Commander size), but the important part is that it flings .45 rounds out of the business end and sends them towards whatever I point it at.
  2. Doors locked = line of defense #1. Dogs = Early Warning System and line of defense #2. John Moses Browning's masterpiece = Line of Defense #3. Anyone stupid enough to still be in my house after the dogs go nuts - will not hear any "Pumping the Shotgun" nonsense. My guns are loaded and chambered.
  3. Reminds me of Robin Wilcox and Pud...I often think of them both. Pud has probably passed on by now, as it's been 10 years or so since I saw them in Chicago - Robin's accident was in June 1997 I believe. Blue Skies Robin & Pud...both good souls.
  4. Brian's ideas always make sense, well thought out and execute well on paper and in theory. The problem with his idea here is, we still as a community can't figure out how to fly a general left and right pattern with respect to an un-crossable windline - which is typically taught in the first jump course. Experienced as we are, people still get turned around - fail to follow the rules of the road - or make mistakes and get into trouble within the normal pattern at any given DZ. Although it is simple enough on paper, I don't think people will really execute in the real world setting.

    Go Buckeyes

I have two tickets to the BCS game... Just thought everyone should know. That is all.
  6. TSA = Takes Scissors Away Our fear is simply misguided and driven by our irrational thoughts that no one will stand up and put a serious beat down on anyone trying to penetrate a cockpit. Liquid bombs...right...
  7. To comment on the actual trucks...here's my experience. Uhaul: You will get an overused, broken down, 400K mile jalopy that will barely do the speed limit. Penske: You will get a newer version of the above truck, and it will be yellow!
  8. Checkers...I miss living in Chicago, no Checkers in Phoenix. A huge Checker burger with spicy curly fries are the best!
  9. A non-skydiving buddy sent this to me, too good not to share... www.wimp.com/wantsong/

    Best beer

Arrogant Bastard Ale Name is funny and fitting, but the beer is gooooood.
  11. He's volatile...period. I for one am so sick of his half assed apologies, driveway workout antics, "I'm TO and I'm the greatest" attitude that I could puke everytime I see him. When compared to hard-nosed/hard-working football players who have excelled at his position like Jerry Rice, he's a joke.
  12. I know, it's completely amazing what some GM's will do to "better" their team. What they don't realize, is that in many cases they alienate their fans. I for one, being a 49er fan, would not want to see him back...EVER. TO could learn some lessons in class himself before calling into question the Eagles organization's lack of "class". He would do well to emulate the great ones like Walter Payton... TO is an embarrassment...

  14. Not all pre-existing coverages are automatically covered, you need to check with your new employer to verify any rules/regulations regarding this. Especially if you have a lapse in coverage...in many states as long as the lapse is not greater than 60 days, you won't have as much issue with pre-existing coverages being included. You still need to check however...don't just assume. I am not a Benefits administrator, but I am an HR guy...and this is a common question/dilemna that I deal with all the time.
  15. I hate bar fights...primarily because I'm the big guy, and it's always one of my little guy friends who starts the brawl...and I end up with the shiner and cut knuckles. I will personally put a beat down on the next guy that starts a bar fight when I'm in the room... Wait...what the hell am I saying?
  16. When you get a puppy, you get potential. It becomes what you put into it, and the breeding does have a factor as to what characteristics you can draw out and enhance. I've met many pit bulls that were very sweet, but they are capable of inflicting terrible damage. I believe the problem with many pit bulls comes from some types of people that are drawn to them. They are definitely a breed to be raised with care and require hightened responsibility.
  17. Hercules sleeping on the couch...
  18. My favorite bread is green with Ben Franklin's picture on it...
  19. OMG...I just about shot my soda out of my nose... TREBEK! That kills me everytime....
  20. Snatch Dennis Farino cracks me up in that movie...
  21. I work as an HR Manager for a collections firm...the advice on notifying the collection agency that you are not the debtor, and that you do not welcome any further calls to your number is the correct response. If the collector continues to call you, it can be construed as harassment under the FDCPA laws. Additionally, you are considered 3rd party to the debtor...and under the FDCPA, the collection agency is forbidden to discuss the debt with you. If they have, you may be able to take further legal action. Furthermore, you might consider calling your family member and telling them to start taking some direct action to resolve the debt...or at least contact the collector to give them a cease & desist. If the debt is not valid, they can dispute it. Either way you can stop being bothered as a result of their issue.
  22. Dogs wage their tails with their heart...and just like breathing, it is both a voluntary and involuntary action. Labs have the biggest heart wagging muscles... I have data that supports this...I'm a scientist...
