  1. Hi, I am a skydiver from Malta. I want to post a classified ad to sell a main canopy. However, Malta is not listed as one of the countries on the drop down list. Since this is a *required field I cannot post my ad. The same goes for my user details. Please include Malta. We may be small but we are an EU country now. Nick.
  2. The longest I have waited is about 15 months and continued jumping. I have come to the conclusion that it is safer to wait until I can get a rigger who I know and trust than to have any rigger pack my reserve. I have seen so much crap in the past from inexperience riggers that it is safer to keep them away from my gear. I was jumping for 120 days once with a reserve that was installed incorrectly. The lines were attached to the risers wrongly, not in order. Now I only trust 2 riggers that I know, they both travel a lot and are not always around when my repack expires. I prefer to wait than give it to someone else. My opinion only.
  3. Here is one of mine. Me in blue helmet exiting otter over Empuriabrava - Spain in March 2000
  4. Ok, I need to clarify. I will give you a clearer picture of what is actually happening. I throw out my pilot chute, I feel the bag go off my back then I am pulled upright. At this point I can look up and see the canopy snivelling with the slider at the top of the lines and I am still facing in the right direction. As the nose catches air I am then spun 90 degrees and sometimes 180 degrees in the opposite direction.
  5. Hi, I have been suffering off heading openings lately on my Stiletto 150. Sometimes pretty violent 180 drgree spins. It is worrying me to the point where I have stopped jumping with large groups in fear of a collision. I am quite certain that I have picked up some bad habits while packing which is causing this, as when I have packers pack for me it seems to be ok. What exactly causes off heading openings, and where should I take most care during the pack jobs? I know base jumpers have some tricks to keep everything straight, do you wanna share!! Nick.
