  1. OK, I'm bumping this up. Gonna be fun times. Saturday is White Out night, wear white or something that will stand out. NorCal at its finest. madjohn Main goals in life: Be on the "Jumpers Over Eighty" (JOE) World Record and attend the Lost Prairie Boogie once after I'm gone.
  2. Yep it's still going, not the wild nights of yore but still your best bet if you're in Nor Cal Sept. 23-25th. We'll have our King Air, a Lodi Otter, and a helicopter. Flying fish in the hanger, food, RW, Freefly, Wingsuiting, and all the usual Skydiver stuff. If we're lucky a Dirty Pirate Hooker might show up. It won't be Chicks Rock, but what else is? Come and play if you're in the neighborhood. madjohn Main goals in life: Be on the "Jumpers Over Eighty" (JOE) World Record and attend the Lost Prairie Boogie once after I'm gone.
  3. I'm amazed that someone with only 10 years in the sport choosed to call themselves "Scratch". Newbie problem I guess. madjohn Main goals in life: Be on the "Jumpers Over Eighty" (JOE) World Record and attend the Lost Prairie Boogie once after I'm gone.
  4. and there was Naked Rock, or Rocks. It got crowded but there will be room for you next year. 5. Good choice. It's very green and we've got Johnny Longspot back flying for us. Also, might be a poker tent. madjohn Main goals in life: Be on the "Jumpers Over Eighty" (JOE) World Record and attend the Lost Prairie Boogie once after I'm gone.
  6. OK, time for all speculation to end. It's Boogie time and time will tell. Mad John is there today, early afternoon. Hope to see and jump with as many of you as I can. Main goals in life: Be on the "Jumpers Over Eighty" (JOE) World Record and attend the Lost Prairie Boogie once after I'm gone.

  9. Actually it's redheads with bottles of Patrone that are the problem. Those that are subject to projectile vomiting. Fortunately I was not present for that, being passed out up at Byron Heights. Which unfortunately will not exist this year. madjohn
  10. We once had some guys who went skiing at Tahoe, jumped at Antioch DZ and went surfing in Santa Cruz all in the same day. There's probably other strings like that, too. madjohn
  11. Vader, you are a minor legend. We'll miss you this year. madjohn After 18 years I have experienced all kinds of weather conditions at LP. Luckily saw the Northern lights turn on from Midnight to 4am once. You never know, and this year all bets are off for weather. And being drunkass on tequila until the next afternoon had nothing to do with outside temperature. 12. I'm not even in the running but there are some out there I've met who've jumped in all 50 states. madjohn Main goals in life: Be on the "Jumpers Over Eighty" (JOE) World Record and attend the Lost Prairie Boogie once after I'm gone.
  13. Having experienced this my first LP Boogie, i.e. woke up at 3am and put on all my clothes, I have also slept in a tent with just my underwear, on top of an air mattress. So be prepared either way madjohn Main goals in life: Be on the "Jumpers Over Eighty" (JOE) World Record and attend the Lost Prairie Boogie once after I'm gone.
  14. Raphael, Welcome to LP. Many of us will be there before the 21st so you could come straight there and make friends before it gets really busy. Or you could take a tour of Glacier Park, well worth the time. Many people are always driving into Kalispell so if you call the Meadow Peak Dropzone we can figure out a way to pick you up. Safe travels, madjohn Main goals in life: Be on the "Jumpers Over Eighty" (JOE) World Record and attend the Lost Prairie Boogie once after I'm gone.
  15. Thanks for the plug, Bolas. We will take care of her. and those are coyotes, not wolves, city-boy. madjohn Main goals in life: Be on the "Jumpers Over Eighty" (JOE) World Record and attend the Lost Prairie Boogie once after I'm gone.

  17. I jumped out of the same plane 2 days after my 21st birthday, April 26th, 1969, had to wait because my parents wouldn't sign me off. I thought my foot was going to punch through the floor. madjohn Main goals in life: Be on the "Jumpers Over Eighty" (JOE) World Record and attend the Lost Prairie Boogie once after I'm gone.
  18. Question this. Bill started there in the '80s. I don't remember the operation prior to his moving there. Plus, it's not a club. madjohn Main goals in life: Be on the "Jumpers Over Eighty" (JOE) World Record and attend the Lost Prairie Boogie once after I'm gone.

  22. Did a side-by-side with two T-U's at the Clear Lake Water Jumps with Terry Finch in the early 80's. Looked like two gears trying to cog around each other. Solidly stable though. Also stacked three PC's. madjohn Main goals in life: Be on the "Jumpers Over Eighty" (JOE) World Record and attend the Lost Prairie Boogie once after I'm gone.
  23. It's actually the Cock Chorus, different anatomically from the Crack Choir. madjohn Main goals in life: Be on the "Jumpers Over Eighty" (JOE) World Record and attend the Lost Prairie Boogie once after I'm gone.
  24. Ian was my brother in skydiving. Because of him I've met many Canadian skydivers who have become close friends, have seen snowpacks fall while lunching at the top of Lake Louise in Banff, have paddled a canoe, have listened to blues at King Eddy's, and became an organizer at Lost Prairie. Blue skies my brother, I hope you have found peace. madjohn Main goals in life: Be on the "Jumpers Over Eighty" (JOE) World Record and attend the Lost Prairie Boogie once after I'm gone.
