    T3-no stumble/no altimeter problems

Don't punish yourself. Relax, breath, enjoy the ride up, go over the jump, have fun. And, pull at the appropriate altitude.

    A packers tip question

Your 210 isn't necessarily a "caddy" and most student rigs are that size or bigger anyways. If your only doing 4 jumps a day or so, why aren't you packing your rig yourself? That packing fee is good for a cpl of jumps! I would say do yourself a favor, and learn to pack it like a pro.... So, you bring your beer? Its 5 o'clock somewhere POPS #9344

    I need either smaller gear~

This is what I use. Works fine, lots of room for camping gear, golf clubs, ice chest....take off for a week and get lost...and pulls nicely even at 70+ highway speeds. So, you bring your beer? Its 5 o'clock somewhere POPS #9344

If you really want to sell you gear..

It's the same with people asking about gear that is for sale. You send them information, more pics, etc. Ask them to let you know if they are interested or not, and you never hear another word from them either....same game. So, you bring your beer? Its 5 o'clock somewhere POPS #9344

Closing Pin Necklace, bought or earned?

The reasons why are as varied as each of us that wears one. Either stainless or gold, given or bought. My wife gave me mine for my 100th, along with a bottle of Jack (which by the way has long since departed). Worn it ever since that day. Man did that goal feel so good to achieve. Don't vandalise peoples logbooks!

Not posting directly at the above poster...b/c it seems that many "pranksters" are trying to justify their immature behavior. I don't need to feel included if that means allowing someone to offend me directly. If you want to feel "included" then hang out with other immature people and then your all set. Yes, I keep my log book in/or on my stuff. Does that give anyone the right/approval to go into it and write anything? NO. Hey, I see your car keys laying there by your stuff. Does that give me the right to go out and drive your car? NO. It's just the mature thing to do man. If you want to hang out with children, they are over there on the swings at the playground...not at the DZ. If you want to hang out, get drunk after the light is turned on...cool. I don't. You want to get high and do a line or two? Cool....your deal..not mine...still. I think that is the point the OP was making. It's not your "stuff", just leave it alone. Pretty simple really. And, again, nothing personal to the poster I am replying this to...just examples of stuff. I hope someone can please turn the "light on" for others.... So, you bring your beer? Coaching question

Re currency training is method specific. Coaches are not allowed to teach anything that is method specific. And AFAIK...a re currency jump is with a person who holds an I not a coach. And, it may need more then one jump...if the person getting recurrent fails. It does happen. So, you bring your beer? Its 5 o'clock somewhere POPS #9344

    Used gear for big boy

Hey...Although the math isn't something I'm going to get into...I had a rig up here that is for a big(er) guy a while back. Almost every single response was "gee can you give it to me for next to nothing?). Ummm NOPE. Yeah, it's tough to get into some gear without going custom from the beginning. Especially from the standpoint of a bigger jumper. With that in mind..if your really interested in a rig (wings W-27) for a bigger guy (6'1"ish and 225 lbs) approx. that has a Safire II 229 sf..with about 150 jumps...a super raven -M reserve 282 sf (no deployments), fully articulated, full stainless, RSL, soft pillow cutaway/reserve handles..etc...etc...or if any one of you know of anyone else looking (yeah really looking)....contact me! You won't get it for free...but I will make you a decent offer on a great rig! AAD ready...but not included. So, you bring your beer? Its 5 o'clock somewhere POPS #9344

    Diabetes & Skydiving

I also don't wear anything indicating that I'm a diabetic. I am a type II, and even though I take my diet and medicine, I would never try to hide it. I fill in the blanks, state that I am a diabetic, and each time have been asked about it. I self monitor (of course) and jump with a friend most of the time who is a type I. We watch each other...and sometimes give each other a reminder to get something to eat, hydrate, and check! Thank you for flying with One Way, and enjoy your decent! So, you bring your beer? 22. Did the same thing before....got to my hard deck and cut away. Canopy landed on the DZ, freebag on the runway (pilot picked up on way back to loading area), kept both handles. Packing error. Repack $50.00...experience...priceless. So, you bring your beer? Its 5 o'clock somewhere POPS #9344

    Brand new member, unique request

I also am not one for voting on all the "please vote for me" requests. But, with all the fanfare...I think it deserves a "vote"...besides...I enjoy jumping at Star when I visit friends in Boise...yes even us folks from PA know someone in Idaho...(hehe..even if it is just to get a Idaho Spud). Good luck, congratulations. So, you bring your beer? Its 5 o'clock somewhere POPS #9344

What did you give for Christmas?

Got all the kids what we could. The Harley Owners Group I belong to donated funds to a fellow biker who lost his home on Christmas eve to a fire that burned his home to the ground as well as made a personal donation. Spearheaded a toy drive that lasted all year long and made donations to a local school, and 3 other groups for needy families (not Toys for Tots). Held a 50/50 at our annual Christmas dinner and the funds raised were donated to 2 local food banks. Was a busy year/season...and every minute of it was well worth it. Could have used a few extra minutes for riding and jumping..but all is well in my heart. God Bless each and every one of you who can and does give. So, you bring your beer?
