Yeah, how about number one? I'm guessing you're agreeing with my assessment? Can you give me some more to go on there?

    Fur

The following statements are posted on another forum and I'd like to know if they're true. 1) Nothing man-made quite has the warmth and comfort that real fur has. 2) Some fur sold as fake, isn't. Its actually real fur. I can't quite believe either of these statements. If the first were true, surely all polar expeditioners would be clad in full length polar bear with a under layer of mink? The second statement also makes no sense to me, surely it's not cost effective, never mind anything else, to produce real fur but sell it as fake? Anyone help me out here? Next Mood Swing: 6 minutes

    Pet Peeves

People who think that jabbing a horse in the mouth is a great way to get it on the bit. And that includes the Pessoa system, gags and draw reins. Fucking idiots. Next Mood Swing: 6 minutes
  5. Geez. Condolences to everyone in Lee's life. This has been a shit couple of years for you guys. I'm so sorry. Next Mood Swing: 6 minutes

  8. Actually, unless you were the founding member, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy is based on that very principle, hence CBT practitioners say it all the time :) My favourite quote - "if at first you don't succeed, cheat". Edit: and another - "on your heads, lads" - anyone know where that's from? :D Next Mood Swing: 6 minutes

    Girls arm hair

I do. My boyfriend is extremely hairy, except for being bald. He even has a hairy back and a little paunch. Do I care? Not a jot. He's confident, good looking with a great sense of humour. What more do I need? And I bet I'm not the only one.
  11. That is extremely cool. You've kinda summed up what, for me, skydivers are all about. Incredible determination, real humility and awesome passion. Next Mood Swing: 6 minutes
  12. If anyone were to take advice without considering from where they'd received it, more fool them. I, personally, credit Ralf with knowing his body well enough to make good choices and with the intelligence to confer with his physio on anything potentially harmful. I think most people have enough sense to do the same. Next Mood Swing: 6 minutes
  13. Cool I hope Ralf will post about it here, preferably with pictures
  14. I clicked on that! I clicked on that! Why you little........ Next Mood Swing: 6 minutes
  15. Oh yes... I'd hesitate to judge anyone as a dumbass on just one scenario, but when you've known someone for years and every argument they have on every subject is sheer ignorance with a large handful of arrogance, it's hard not to. I feel your pain Next Mood Swing: 6 minutes
  16. Firstly, he's a skydiver, he posted on the Skydivers with Disabilities board about a problem that is linked to exactly those two things - skydiving and being disabled. He linked to it here, because quite rightly, he assessed that people who could help him wouldn't necessarily look at the Skydivers with Disabilities board. But all that is completely irrelevant; how many people post asking advice on matters that have absolutely nothing to do with skydiving whatsoever on DZ.com????/ Yourself included. Well done in not addressing my other point, not that I expected you to. Next Mood Swing: 6 minutes
  17. Errr, 'terrible disease'???? Firstly, CP is NOT a disease. By calling it as such puts a really negative light on it. Secondly, the only terrible thing about being disabled is the lack of provision by society. And that includes individuals attitudes. As for the rest of your post, I was interested enough to respond to Ralf and the info I gave was useful to him. It seems that I'm not the only one either. Just because you're not interested, doesn't mean that anyone else shouldn't be. Next Mood Swing: 6 minutes
  18. Oh no! I'm not a ripple, either! I love it when people have no option but to start scraping the barrel. Next Mood Swing: 6 minutes
  19. Ralffers, I have incomplete paraplegia and like you, use crutches to walk. I also have to use a wheelchair for longer distances - shopping for instance. My mobility is limited for similar reasons to yours, my balance is extremely poor due to very high tone in my left leg (the right is pretty much ok) and muscular atrophy. As far as I'm aware the body relies on three things that indicate its going off balance - sight, the inner ear and 'messages' travelling from one's ligaments and tendons (when they are stretched, the brain knows the body is going out of balance which is why athlete's tend to have bad balance with their eyes closed

  23. Bloody crazy... Seems to be going around, I had a less than nice PM the other day too. Apparently I used a picture of myself as an avatar because I'm an attention seeker. I thought I'd take it as a compliment... NB: The current picture is not of me Next Mood Swing: 6 minutes
