When I was 12 I thought barefoot waterskiing was the greatest thing. I thought I would be "footin" til 40 at least. I quit when I was 18. Just never grabbed a ski rope again.
Can I still walk on water? I don't want to find out. Catch a toe and I'd be in a coma.[:/](plus they don't make a boat fast enoungh for my fat ass)

The point is: Sometimes the risk isn't worth the reward anymore. [:/] And skyjumpin is safer than barefootin.:D But swooping is more dangerous than barefootin. But barefootin while swoopin is probably worth the risk. I could swoop in, cut away, and continue to barefoot to the beachB| Ok maybe I'll wear shoes, but the other point is: you never know when you're done barefootin.:P

    :D:D:D Love this post B|

It is interesting to find out about armies of old, how many of their casualties came from battle, from disease, and from STD's. The battle casualties aren't always almost never the largest proportion though out much of history.

    Its normally RTAs isn't it?

Problem is .. they ([cough] over the pond) get so worked up about ... they get their little calculators our and think it's such a big deal ........ They've made a rod for their own back ........ It kills me from laughing so much.

Ya I suppose we wouldn't tip either if our people were cheap, ugly and mean like the English.

Goddamn it, you're right. At least they can think up a halfway decent insult though. :P

It's not my problem you find the truth insulting.

If you want to be insulted, come on over and play with me in the SC...:)

Babe, I wasn't insulted even though that's what you were trying to do. Unless you think calling someone cheap, ugly and mean is a compliment? ;)

I'm against all tipping. I'd rather pay a little extra for the food. I still have and do sometimes but rather hate Americans attitude of entitlement.

    +1

Tipping NOT wages and should NEVER be considered so.

It's a nice way to say thank you, but taken to extremes in America:o

    Yah.

What is it with the attitude that the customer MUST ALWAYS TIP? And why on earth should I be making up to the waiting staff? Finding something unique to say to them, smiling and joking with them? Just to get decent service? WTF?

I dont want decent service, just bring me my food and fuck off, if I want or need anything I have a voice and will ask for it.
Leave me the fuck alone to eat in peace.
When i am done I am more than able to walk to a till and pay.

    = decent service, to me.

Oh, and decent service is what the waiting staff is paid for, I think. So I'm not going to tip for it.

Hell, I had the local PD leave a nastygram on the door about the grass in the back yard. You know, the one with the 5' tall privacy fence around it.:S

So...you cut it and got how much for a pound?
Or did you smoke up all the profits yourself?

Well I don't consume any of it, but these damned rabbits seem to enjoy it.>:( I'm considering building a little overpass over it so the coyotes and foxes can also enjoy the yard.>:( And BTW, since my next-door neighbor is a cop, I don't think I'll be planting any special grasses any time soon.

That reminds me of an article in the Daily Telegraph (broadsheet newspaper). It was about a rabbit called Bonkers who's owner used to feed the odd bit of weed every now and again. Bonkers really liked it and could be found chilling in the back garden after having some. Well one day a Jack Russell got into the garden while Bonkers was stoned. The article ended with 'it was Bonkers only bad trip'.

Well, I thought it was funny.............. mind you, I think I may have been 'chilling' myself at the time.

and moved to Oman. The only downside is I now have to rely on attachments to Billy's NSFW thread for my porn ;)

Oman? Oh Man! Do you have to wear a burqua to the store 'n stuff like that?:S

    No, no, no. :D

The Middle East isn't as horrific as certain people would like us to believe and Oman is probably the most Westernised of all the countries in this region. The only stipulation for dress as a woman is keeping shoulders and knees covered in public (Although there are many places were its acceptable to wear what you like - hotels/many restaurants/some beaches etc). Having said that many Western women out here still dress inappropriately, but the Omani's are incredibly tolerant and no one gets put in jail for being disrespectful to the local culture.

Oman is a benevolent autocracy, the Sultan assumed power from his father 40 years ago and since then the country has grown beyond belief in every conceivable way.

Omani's in general are pretty wonderful, they are incredibly friendly and welcoming and have a great (if wicked) sense of humour. They're Islamic, the majority are Ibadi Muslim, but they embrace it as I, personally, think Mohammed meant it to be embraced. Whilst they are extremely proud of their culture, their religion, their way of life, they don't condemn others who have a different culture, religion and way of life. Infact, they

Oman is also a very beautiful country, with a huge diversity of landscape, architecture and a very rich culture.

I love it and wish anyone with a negative view of Islam to come and experience it here.

I thought older people were meant to be safer from the virus because their bodies already had some resistance due to having flu in the past, is that not right?

It actually seems that in few parts of the world, there are older people who seem to be somewhat immune, which could mean that a similar strain did hit these parts several decades ago (although I believe this was only an observation, not a medical fact as of few weeks ago). However, I seem to remember that this was quite localized, so older people in general are probably not any more immune to this strain than younger people.

    Ah, thanks for that.

  12. I did a jokey illustration for the vaccine a while back. :)

    Quote

True. However, as it is a new strain, no one's immune system is prepared for it.

I didn't know that. I thought older people were meant to be safer from the virus because their bodies already had some resistance due to having flu in the past, is that not right?

"I could care less" will also work when said with the proper sarcastic tone.

Yeah, but everyone keeps leaving off their sarcasm tags. I'm not a mind-reader! :P
