  1. Hi: When I clik the link it just takes me to Birdman.com. I only get the front intro page for the video and no way to see the video or start it. It seems the link is working for others but I cannot seem to get anything. Any suggestions?
  2. Thanks for the reply....and honesty bbarnhouse . Thats all I was looking for. And for bodypilot1 ..........??????????? Thanks for your contribution........
  3. Located in Nova Scotia ,Canada. There are three birds here now with their own suits. I have traveled twice to Atmosphere to jump with joboulay and the others there. A great place to flock!! We continue to spread the word. Play Safe!!
  4. I tried to inquire back on the 4th of August , when it was first posted, and was told that instructors would have to be checked with. I was excited at the concept of learnig from the best. Then I was told I would be recontacted about it by the 16th. Still never heard anything so I figured it was full or not happening. When coming from another country arrangments have to be made way ahead of time for tickets, time off etc. Its now almost a month later and I see possibly there are slots open and you are encouraging others to book early?? I figured it was booked since I never even got any reply back at all and gave up on making travel arrangements. To bad skydivers generally seem to be such slackers when it comes to business responsibilities. A reply would have at least been courteous. Who is organizing it and who should have been contacted to get an actual answer, details and perhaps booked a slot? Others may still be interested and hopefully can get more info than I got.
  5. Now thats a flock!! Awesome shots ....just awesome. Its pictures like that that make you just want to keep flying and flying. If someone asks you why we do it.....just show them these pics....like they say ....a picture's worth a thousand words. Play Safe.
  6. I had Zipper problems with my Skyflier and did this little fix and never had a problem again with zipper creep. Although it is not a broken zipper I know that some have had this problem . Perhaps this small fix may help. Check it out at Zipperfix.htm Play Safe!!
  7. Hey smiles....great shot.........that looks like Colin Comeau on the left am I right? Sweet...........say hi from Ralph from the east coast at Waterville. Glad to see he is really learning how to fly! Tell him if he comes home this year we are ready to flock with him down here. DZ is opening this weekend here if the weather is nice. Finnally...its been a long winter.Play Safe!!
  8. The koolest thing about your new suit is...............that you get to fly with it!! The co;or won't really matter...the smile on your face will tell it all! Play Safe!!
  9. Very Koool. Lady birds are always welcome!! The flock contimues to grow....
  10. I agree it is one of the very early suits. I have one also that I use for people to learn on. Works fine but I do agree that the single zipper can be a pain at times. Maybe some day these ones with SUIT on them will be collectors items..ha ha! Great beginner suit. Make sure you get the cables! Play Safe!
  11. Thats one of the nicest pics I have seen in a while. Nice colors and crisp. Just the perfect day. I am sure the jumper in the suit appreciated the shots taken by the camera guy. Too...Kooooolll. To cold here right now in the great white north......just looking ......waiting for spring.....and dreaming...
  12. Nothing I like better than jumping without a helemt when I am by myself. It is like riding a bike without one, but with less things to run into ..ha ha. When I jump the suit I rarely wear one. When flocking with others, especially unknowns I sometime like to have some thing on. When I am alone.......its just me and the flight....I like it when it gets quiet! Play Safe!
  13. Congratulations and welcome to the Canadian flock!! I can tell you after jumping the suits for two years now that it only gets better and better!! When you see regular jumpers fall away from you like a rock you really understand the feeling of flight. The flock is growing here on the east coast as it is elsewhere across the country. The second annual Canadian birdman festival will be at Atmosphere Air in Quebec in June I believe. I went last year and had a great time!! Good people and a King Air to jump from...big flocks!! Keep it in mind...by then you will be hooked bad and want to fly with the flock!! Play Safe!!
  14. I didn't order mine there but had to have it shipped to Canada. It took about 10 weeks to get here but was well worth the wait!! It is a beautiful piece of gear!! You won't be disappointed. Soon brother soon....Play Safe !! Guana (Rodrequiez)
  15. Trying to get to post pictures in the galleries but it will not create a gallery for me. Anyone else have this problem? Know how to fix it? I have followed the instructions but nothing happens?
  16. Praise for Ed at Conceptus is well deserved. I was trying to set up a Coolpix 5000 digital camera using a digisnap5000 adapter from Harbortronics. It seemed the activation wiring of the switch was quite different than 35mm cameras. Ed stayed in close contact, always returned contacts and worked with Harbortronics to make sure the switch was wired properly. The end result?? A perfectly working tongue switch. People with such devotion to their product is rare today and Ed goes well out of his way to make sure that his product works properly and that customer satisfaction is #1. Need a switch for your camera?? Contact the best in the market..a person who really cares and does everything possible to help you with your needs! www.conceptusinc.com

    BMI Directory

BMI here in East Coast Canada...... spent a lot of time alone but now rated and building a flock. We now have three birds and growing. If you are out on the East Coast of Canada then check us out. Atlantic School of Skydiving. ( www.atlanticschoolofskydiving.com ) If you really want to fly..........get a Birdman suit... you will never look back!!
  18. I am now using a Coolpix 5000 and gettting great shots for tandems and pff's and coach jumps. Because you are using a digital there is a pause, so to speak, before the pic is taken. With tandems and large formations this is not a problem. I have jst started jumping with it this season. Contact Harbortronics for the adapter to hook up a switch to it (Digisnap 5000) and contact Ed at Conceptus (manufacture of bite and tongue switchs). He made up one special for me after talking to Harbortronics about the activation of the camera. My set up works great!! You can check out some pics at www.atlanticschoolofskydiving.com where I am starting to post some of them. Just shot a 20 way also that was great! I recommend the Coolpic 5000 for those who want to set up with digital a little cheaper than the 5700. I am very happy with the results. As with anything there are always small problems to work around but when you can bring them right up on a TV to view it makes them easy to show potential buyers the pics. Best of luck!

    Wingsuit fest

I'm in!! Coming from Nova Scotia...one lone birdman looking for the flock..ha ha! See you there!!
  20. That is the most unbelieveable thing I have seen yet . Big balls doesn't even begin to describe it!!! What's next????
  21. Glad to hear someone is thinking about landing and smooth openings. I have about 100 birdman flights up here in the great white north now. I have a second rig just for this and have...get this a BIG FAT MANTA in it. Big soft and docile. Ya I take heat about my big fat canopy but you know what...opens everytime on heading, line twist or not, and lands soft and easy to put in a back yard if I have to. The fun is flying the suit....not landing it. Think about what are the most problems you hear about wing suits. Spinning mals !! I would just a soon avoid cutting away as part of my "fun jump" just for the sake of being Kool! Live to jump another day and another and another....Each to their own but say what they want....I make it back most every time and land soft when others pound in! Number of cutaways on the Birdman suit.....0...that says it all. It is afterall suppose to be fun and worrying that you may have to cutaway on opening doesn't make anyones skydive the fun as it should be. I lent my suit to a very experienced skydiver friend to use with an extremely small canopy. He had over 4000 jumps and guess what...jump #3....cutaway from a spinner. He now jumps my spare suit and uses a larger canopy himself. If it is all about kool, its very kool to jump and land safely and have all the fun you intened to. After 20 years of jumping I must say....the Birdman suit is the most fun I have had yet!!! Play safe. (Guana 425)
  22. Just got myself a Coolpic 5000. I have had a lot of help from Mark at Harbortronics and Ed from Conceptus to get a proper switch. They have been collaborating together and have come up with new tongue switch specifically for the Digisnap 5000 to go with the Coolpic 5000. I am waiting for the switch now. You can contact Ed at Conceptus about it [email protected]. (web site www.conceptusinc.com) He has gone well out of his way to help me out with this situation. A great guy!! Haven't had a chance to jump with the camera yet but am getting some great shots from the ground. It prints out beautiful crisp 8X10's. !!
