    I

    Jimmy or his f'n corn.
  2. If I had to rely on a Harley to earn my paycheck.......I'd buy a Honda. Don Yeah!.......I was thinking he should get something a little more reliable. Like a Ariel or BSA or a Vincent to ride. A Brough would be OK, too, but Lawrence says the brakes aren't all that.

    Local news?

Uh-Oh! Since the magic $100,000 mark has been surpassed it looks like a first degree felony. About as serious as it gets.

    Local news?

i think a lawyer may be interested in that.. and then its gonna cost zhills probably a bit more than the 150k.. So, what is not factual that might interest a lawyer? (other than the photoshop image which DOES represent a factual event according to the SO report.)
  5. Not science.......PIES! I just like pies and try to learn as much as I can about them. (Except sweet potato pie....I don't like sweet potato pie......or sweet potatoes for that matter.......or yams.)
  6. 3.1415 is not the same number as 3.1415926535897932384626433832795 (if you do the math you will see that they are different. If you measure around the edge of a pie you will see that the pie that measures 3.1415*D will have a bigger piece missing than a pie that measures 3.1415926535897932384626433832795*D. Of course, all that goes out the window if someone removes a piece from the middle.)
  7. Holy crap!....20 million views! Someone should be getting rich off of that!
  8. Lessee!....... You have (just to name a VERY few!) extremely dangerous Funnelweb Spiders, Taipan snakes, adders, cobras, sea snakes, tiger snakes, redback spiders, bees, lizards, scorpions, Blue ringed octopuses, cone snails, box jellyfish, sea snakes, and scorpionfish, many of which are described with superlatives like "most venomous on the planet", "deadliest", etc. Not to mention crocs and even venomous platypuses. I don't think a Black Widow spider would rank very high on the "most dangerous species in OZ" list.
  9. It would be your "last line of defense" for only a short while longer. After that it's just extra mass contributing to "F" as in "= ma".
  10. Thank you. Been in the biz for 28 yrs. Yes you know what your talking about but it sounds like your a typical tech., over diagnosing (you know what i mean)! Mama It sounds like an electrical problem to me. Try to start the car with the dome lamp and head lights on. If they dim down real low and the car dosent turn over as well as without the lights on then it is an alectrical problem. Most commen problems is as others have said battery cables loose or coroded. Also loose connection at started or body ground. Btw there are a bunch of Auto Zone 101 answers on here! Try this part or this part, put a new one of these on there Nope, no over diagnosing, just offering the possibilities. I never said that any of those are definitely the problem and that any of those are going to have to be replaced. I merely said that those have been known to cause such problems as desribed by Skymama. In the description, there was nothing said to indicate that the starter would not crank the engine, or it was slow, AND She said that the battery had been checked, which a battery inspection normally includes the terminals and most of the time, the cables. (Unless I missed something) We must have diff. opions of over daignosing then. I believe in starting with the bassics. She said it trys to start but chugs. Coming from a woman (no offence intended) I think she may be desribing as if its slughish to start. I also never said you said those things would fix it. You and i both know that if most of those sensors were the problem then it would have issues while running and the check engine light would be on since it is OBD 2 for sure.(even though she never said if it was on or off). I have known many other techs to over diaganos things that were common sense. It sounds as if you and Jumpdude have different interpretations of the problem, as described by Skymama. (I also think that the problem described is not that it's not turning over but that after it tries to start it chugs for a bit and then runs smoother after sereral tries... like the computer is getting unreliable/false data from sensors about the engine's condition.) Maybe it would be best if Skymama would hook up a microphone and post a wave file of her making the noise.....you know, as if she were describing the problem to her tech. That always seems to help.
  11. Does the Check Engine light come on? If so, you could probably have Auto Zone or Advance Auto Parts "read the codes" for you. I think they do this free or for a small charge. It may give you an idea where to start looking and whether or not the repairs will be costly.
  12. I'm thinking they're going to look at his lack of a seatbelt on a rough landing on a flight from PHL-TPA yesterday. A Tampa TV station interviewed him after he got off of the plane yesterday. He said some items from the overhead stowage hit him in the head. ....Who knows? http://www.myfoxtampabay.com/dpp/entertainment/television/final_interview_billy_mays_062809
  13. I particularly like some of his earlier stuff. Like, "Tumbleweed Connection" and the soundtrack from "Friends" up to about the "Madman...." album. I got to see him in concert a few years back. I was initially a little disappointed to hear that he would perform without his band that night. It didn't take long into the concert to realize that is the best way, IMO, to hear him. Totally informal and adlibbed. He had the place rockin'.
  14. I wonder if the captain will move to another location if too many pirates are taken from one spot. (I know some fishing party boats will pick up anchor to keep from overfishing a hot spot. Gotta leave some fish for tomorrow's customers.) Also, they'll probably confiscate your handheld GPS so you won't steal the numbers for their productive areas. BTW, that's .30-06
  15. I've used a cotton shoelace with the ends (I've never used the term "aglet" and I see no reason to start now) cut off for years. I think it's the same ones since I don't remember buying blue shoelaces more than once!. No damage to the closing loop. Also, I slide the cord under the pin before pulling it out so it's not sliding against the closing loop. Just twist the frayed ends together when pushing through the grommets.
  16. I usually reply with one of two responses. (1) "What is the most you would pay?" I've already quoted a price and it's the prospective buyer's turn to either buy the item, make a counter offer, or walk. or (2) "I'll be happy to seriously consider any offer you may make." Either way the BS is cleared quickly. A serious buyer would have already made an offer before asking such a dumb question.
  17. What part of Plant City sounds industrial? It is named that becuase it is the strawberry capital of the US.... Nope! It was named after Henry B. Plant. He was to Florida's west coast what Flagler was to the east coast. 1st off . . . BWAHAHJAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHA - That's funny right there, I don't care who you are! 2nd - i said it REMINDED me of industry - like an industrial plant - or a manufacturing plant . . . not that it was actually named after industry. Plant City IS an industrial town. Like mama says, there's the strawberry industry as well as other crops. There is also the cow industry, the goat industry and the pig industry. (not to mention chickens) The flea market and fruit stand industries are booming. The gang industry has almost caught up with that of Zephyrhills, which is just up the skreet. I first met Ron at Cliff's place in South Lakeland, just across the county line from Plant City. He has already mentioned the trailer park industry in Polk County but Plant City is nurturing growth in that area too. (Zephyrhills has a lot of trailer parks, too, but those are mostly yankees.) Hey, I think I've met Bevis and Butthead! I think they live over in Auburndale.
  18. Some of the cars don't look TOO much older than that. TP
  19. Why yes sir... I have been to Pahokee Most people there have one stick in their family tree... and it goes straight up.... . . . and Plant City? i knew I'd remember one day. What part of Plant City sounds industrial? It is named that becuase it is the strawberry capital of the US.... Nope! It was named after Henry B. Plant. He was to Florida's west coast what Flagler was to the east coast. (Edited to remove references more relevant to a different thread) Tony, Polk County boy.
  20. I've spent most of my life in Central Florida although I've also lived in OK, CA, AZ and IL. I'm old enough to remember separate water fountains and separate bathrooms. I also vaguely remember segregated restaurants. (1950's). But, I was stunned when I lived in central Illinois in 1974 and saw racially threatening signs on the outskirts of one town near where I lived......especially after watching all the events in the 1960's South play out on nightly news. I know that central Florida was not the focal point of those tensions but there is still definitely an undercurrent of racism here.
  21. Look what I found. Hey!.... a square pan with rounded sides!........Everybody's happy!!
  22. I use any pan that's handy....square, round, or cupcake..........the cast-iron skillet is for the rest of the meal.
  23. I thought everyone knew .......it's right there between the "z" and the "c". (You DO know the keyboard is not in alphabetical order don't you?)
  24. Do they also provide colorful (colourful) supporting commentary?
