  1. Well, they probably used Lotus or PFS. Maybe even Paperclip.
  2. King James version: 18 For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled. Complete Jewish Bible: 18 Yes indeed! I tell you that until heaven and earth pass away, not so much as a yud or a stroke will pass from the Torah — not until everything that must happen has happened. Disciples’ Literal New Testament : 18 For truly I say to you, until heaven and earth pass away, one iota[c] or one stroke[d] will by no means pass away from the Law until all things take-place[e]. GOD’S WORD Translation: 18 I can guarantee this truth: Until the earth and the heavens disappear, neither a period nor a comma will disappear from the Scriptures before everything has come true. I hope this helps you to understand the book of ancient fables better. I think turtle was questioning the use of a pen at that time, rather than some other implement ...not the meaning of the text. But, quill or reed "pens" were being used by then. Maybe not a Bic or a Paper Mate, but a pen nonetheless.
  3. Wonder if this is true. It all seemed to click. The hundred-mile trip, the interviews with his wife, his father and then the neighbor. I had a feeling that maybe his father knew, or recently found out about his orientation. Dad didn't seem to be very distraught over the death of his son. Very conflicted, he sought absolution through the killings ....a personal Jihad. Maybe not.
  4. I think this case might be a bit more complicated than either simple gay-hate or a religion-driven attack, although elements of both my have played parts in it. Gay friends, western-born but to devout Taliban parents. Something seems a little "different" about this one. Maybe just a bunch of speculative nonsense.
  5. I hope you didn't lose any friends. Unfortunately, I think I may have. He's not texting back and other friends haven't been able to say anything definitive. I sincerely hope that's not the case Are you familiar with this club? Any reason why the guy would travel over 100 miles from Ft. Pierce to attack this particular club. I'm sure he passed by many other LGBT clubs on the way and probably more than a few in Orlando, some of which might have been just as large and attractive as potential targets. Maybe he knew this place. (?)
  6. Kind of agree. I believe the true result of Sanders' candidacy was that it acted as a sort of "trial balloon" for the far-left Progressive movement, whether intentional or not. He was able to realize alarming successes, and in that respect his strong finish is scarier to Conservatives than either Clinton or Trump. And If his campaign had been a complete failure, he would have done so without damaging a future, more viable Progressive candidate. I think his relative success now opens the door for a more intense and bolder run at the Presidency, and other higher office by very Left-Wing Progressive candidates.
  7. Yeah, I can see ironic humor there. But, thinking about it a bit, maybe I did subconsciously label the GOP as "the Party" with regard to the party's leadership (or "politburo" so to speak) acting in defiance of the wishes of the electorate.
  8. I don't recall any mention by HRC during the primaries in 08 about Oama not being a natural born US citizen. It did come from Clinton supporters, but not HRC or her staff. I do remember thinking that it was likely a bunch of crap, because if it was legit, then HRC would have been all over it. Yes, her supporters. But was she "all over" distancing herself from their claims or disavowing them? Encouraging them by her silence? (Actual questions ...I don't remember if she personally commented one way or the other about the claims.)
  9. Reminds me of this; OK, you get a few stars for a relevant reference to "Alice..." Very good. But, I did say what I meant. You simply interpreted it wrongly. I did google it, but I guess I never paid much attention to how the commies refer to their own party. ...and I only vaguely remember the movie, if that's what you meant.
  10. Yes! Specifically, yes. You even included the definitive article inside your quote marks. If you don't recognize that as hilarious, maybe you should google it. Yeah, funny. I know what I meant. I clarified what I meant. Take it or leave it.
  11. Yep. And Obama is a Muslim Kenyan Black Panther who is going to rescind the Constitution, declare Sharia Law, confiscate all guns and establish an Islamic Caliphate in the US right after he outlaws Christianity . . . . I don't think that's going to work again. To paraphrase Lincoln, you can only fool people for so long. I'm only developing, over time, an opinion by what I see and hear from her own mouth. Kinda like what everyone is doing with Trump. FWIW, I, personally, never really bought into the Hillary camp's attempts to disqualify then-Senator Obama as a foreign-born immigrant. But, since, for some mysterious reason, his college records are sealed, I do get to conjecture that he lied about his citizenship status to fraudulently extract public funding or some foreign exchange benefit for his education ...in much the same spirit as lying Liz did with her questionable status as a Native American. Edit to add the "foreign exchange" bit.
  12. I find it somewhat hilarious you call Democrats "commie" yet you refer to the GOP as "the Party." That's pretty funny right there, comrade. I referred to "the Party" (see the capital letter?) only meaning the "official" GOP organization rather than ordinary folks who are registered Republicans. The thread is about the GOP website. e.g., I happen to be a registered Republican, but I have little, beyond voting, to do with official Party policy, whether ideological or administrative. Neither I, nor other Republican voters have any direct influence over what goes on that web page. No dog-whistle code intended. I'm not calling Democrats "commies". I'm calling two particular folks "commies". They just happen to be Democrats at this time. IMO, one of them is an idealistic, nonsensical, dreaming old codger who has no idea how to make his nebulous, utopian ideas work in the real world. The other, also IMO, is a hate-driven, calculating, extreme left-wing ideolog who has no pie-eyed illusion of a utopian society. Her end game is total control. It would not surprise me if she is already building the network infrastructure necessary to effect real revolution. Neither would I be surprised if the brownshirts who are sent to disrupt Trump rallies are being encouraged by her or her comrades while clueless Bernie gets to take any negatives that may (or may not) result from those riots. (truth be known, it wouldn't surprise me if "the Party" upper echelon was found out to be instigating the riots, either, although that is historically a lefty tactic.)
  13. I thought everyone already knew that "the Party" doesn't like Trump or want him as their nominee. I'm not crazy about him either ...or even the GOP, for that matter, but I'd vote for Trump, or even a batshit crazy old fart commie activist (definitely NOT that commie Elizabeth, she's way too dangerous ...the other commie) before I pull the lever for Hillary.

  15. Hey, we've got a Presidential candidate down here who ran his whole campaign on that strategy. Barely had to spend any money at all. Seems to be working pretty well, too.
  16. Here's a suggestion to save a little bandwith. We could have numbers assigned to various commonly repeated positions on a topic like this. Short modifiers and emojis could be used in addition to the numbers, but keep it short. Other numbers could be used for each reply or rebuttal. A sticky could be posted that provides the key to each number's assigned meaning. So an exchange might go something like this -- User 1: "17" User 2: "28 " User 1: "3" User 8: "41 all y'all !!!" Mod: "You're banned !!" ...err, I mean "86 !!" Of course, we'd have to refer to the key chart in the beginning, but it shouldn't be long before the numbers are memorized well enough. (Some folks just can't tell a joke. )
  17. Do you think they'll re-name Manitoba too?
  18. Wow! Quickly counted 11 aircraft-related incidents on the first page alone! The next time some clueless whuffo brings up that tired old "perfectly good airplane" meme, you can show them that!
  19. Getting a little off topic here, but some interesting first-hand accounts: http://www.f-106deltadart.com/580787cornfieldbomber.htm
  20. Damn! You're right. I can't recall ever seeing the remains of an ejection looking that good! http://www.denverpost.com/2016/06/02/thunderbird-crash-colorado-springs/ I think the Cornfield Bomber survived in even better condition.
  21. Two crashes today. One of the Blues. One fatality, I think. ...and one of the Thunderbirds after flyover at AF Academy. I heard pilot ejected safely. Reports that Pres Obama attended the AF Academy commencement.
  22. Sheldon? ...it that you?
