  1. No it does not have the original lines - I bought it with a new lineset (also done by Precision I think) ... What are the "Trim Specs from Para-Concepts"?
  2. Jim Slaton told me the high Riser pressure has probably something to do with the fact my Crossfire has been produced by Precision (and Icarus does not give them the permission anymore because of such problems with their canopies) ...
  3. Does no one know the title of the song?
  4. Does anyone now the name of the song on the Gravity Pilots DVD (first Groundlaunch part) with the womans voice?
  5. I do not know what kind of Crossfire you have been jumping but mine has a lot of pressure (I am not the only one who thinks that) - I am always flying into nearly full brakes to my Setup point and then initiate the turn but does not help with the pressure - The Crossfire has a new line set from Icarus ... maybe it has something to do with it ... I will try to play more with the Harness ...
  6. I am jumping a Crossfire 129 with a Wingload of 1.4 Now I would be intrested if anyone has experiences with swooping a Crossfire especially concerning the heavy frontriser pressure (At the moment I am doing Harness Turns) and techniques - I have seen JC in Austria (MTV World Cup) only using the A Lines (I think) and I thought this may be an alternative for using the Fronts on a Crossfire because the effect is quite good but the pressure is less - Whats your opinion on this? 7. For me the benefit of long riser is mainly (the feeling) to have more control with frontriser and rearriser inputs ...
  8. In my opinion the rainbow swoop pants (http://www.rainbowsuits.com/media/ger-swoop-pants.pdf ) are the best on the market (they are producing swoop pants since 2004)
  9. I need an exit photo (with a single jumper and plane) in more or less high resolution and it should be no student on it but someone looking professional (Swooper would be good) ... I need this photo for the official poster of the German Swooping Open and it would be great if someone who has such a photo I am looking for would spend it
  10. Anyone seen this?! http://www.hawt.net/viewvideo.php?id=158
  11. I am going to do a first wingsuit instruction course in about a month and would like to prepare myself before - So I would like to know if there is anything like a Birdman Manual or First Instruction Info etc I could read before I start the course ...
  12. Maybe the best dropzone in Spain
  13. I do not think you can simply say if something is safe or not - There are examples of people who did everything right skydiving and died - That brings me to the conclusion that Skydiving is not safe - But in the end life is not even safe - there are things more or less dangerous, more or less likely to die doing it but you can be never sure and you should be never sure because this is fatal in many cases! Thats my opinion of this topic ...
  14. Nice site but after a while the sounds suck

    eBay

I found this on eBay (Germany) and I was wondering if this could be a Base Rig - There is nothing said about it (no description) ... http://cgi.ebay.de/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=13363&item=5160610347&rd=1
  16. Sure! And if someone rejects this he (at the same time) rejects that you can die skydiving even if you do everything right ...
  17. When I did my license I was told to make the first two loops (stowing the lines on the pod) large and the rest small - Now I often see skydivers making all loops large oder all loops small, so I would like to know what most people prefer and why (advantages/disadvantages)

  21. As far as I know only some broken bones (legs) and he will or already did fully recover (was not as bad as it looked and sound like)
  22. The fact she has only 70 skydives and seems not to reflect herself and her abilities in a way she would come to the conclusion that she is far away from having the basis (or basics) to start BASE Jumping in my opinion (also I do not know her) shows that she is definitly far away from being ready to do a BASE Jump - I mean BASE Jumping is not (and should not be) an extreme experience for children and especially not when they have not the experience they need! As a father I would not let my daughter do a BASE Jump until I know she really has the physical/technical experience and psychological pre-conditions (which includes to know what you are getting into and what the consequences can be; AND that you are absolutly aware of your skills in comparison to the things you want to do!) - I do not think she is with 16 and 70 jumps (also I may be wrong) Maybe she should have a look at a scene like this http://www.simnet.is/scorpiox/misc/basejump.mpeg - I think it is essential for understanding BASE Jumping to know how fast risk can turn into something you maybe did not expect ... She should point her attention on flying headdown and doing some babyswoops - And in 2 years you can still discuss getting into BASE if this is really what she wants to do!
