I don’t think that is true. 1.smaller canopies are easier to pack. 2.it is harder to get line twist on them (shorter lines). But if you do get in one things might get ugly. But what do I know? my last cutaway was 1800 jumps ago

800-1000 is from terminal speed. from 2100ft it was subterminal opening. they take less alt.

try KA 135.

i saw that same thing happen on vector 3 after incorrect closing of riser covers. Riser was under both flaps.

Try booty fly. this is not "freefly" really, your speed is just a little faster then on RW jump. Make sure your rig is freefly friendly. Also alt. awareness is critical it is a little harder to watch your altimeter, so audible is a good idea.

Striking the tail is a real possibility on any side door exit if aircraft is not flown properly on the jump run. You cannot blame jumper without having all information.

try Katana, my 107 opens very sort and always on heading and PD makes bigger sizes now.

I’m very happy with my KA107 with HMA lines loaded about 1.7. I knew it has light riser pressure, long dive and strong flare but I was really surprised that it opens better then any other canopy I’ve jumped. I made about 20 jumps on it and all my openings were super soft and on heading (got to be that HMA line set!). With this canopy I just smile at pull time :o) Good job PD!

I just got my KA107 with HMA lines and I’m really happy with it. I have a feeling that PD kept working on this canopy after it was released couple years ago. Now it has great soft on heading openings, good glide, light riser pressure, long dive and super strong flare. I think this canopy can be flown aggressively or conservatively equally well. Oh, did I mention the openings?

At least he asked if he could jump with you… One guy who was visiting DZ joined our 2 way without asking permission. He told us later that we were not in danger because he has 1000 jumps and he knows what he is doing
