I got it other way around. I got cleaner deployment from full flight. I got a knot on my bridle several times when I was pulling from classic/student position.

Storm might be more peaceful of that three. Just wondering.... Is S-bird your first wing suit?

It should not have any difference unless you turn low. There are no short-cuts on landing. Leave the front risers alone! How about learn how to fly a regular pattern and flare with proper timing?

This can be one property of an elliptical canopy. If you brakes are set for deployment you canopy in flying with some flare. If you got some turning momentum it would not stop turning, because you speed vector still point inside the turn. You can try: leave the brakes set and start a medium turn to one side. After some time you can not stop the turn even with the opposite riser. Solution: release your brakes and stop the turn with toggles.

This is getting personal, although we don't have any first hand experience about each others instrument, and let be it this way.

There's a big difference between a first flight student and folks who have more time and jumps on wingsuits than pretty much anyone in the wingsuit forum has had in their career. Is surviving a dumb stunt makes it less dumb? Is surviving a dumb mistake makes it less dumb?

I did not say same and just stated that is less likely to have a stable bi-plane or side bye side if one of those canopies would fly lot faster. That was yet another reason why that would not be the best choice. Than why do you argue with me if you agree with the rest????

Yeah, but lets face it, you probably don't want someone you're teaching to jump straight into proximity flying either - but once they've built up enough experience, skill and knowledge of their own you've pretty much got to leave it up to them. Whether a specific action is stupid or sensible can depend not only on the action itself, but the context in which it occurs. The quote would be: This has nothing to do with proximity flying.

Edit: If the plan is to break off at 4k and deploy at 3k then flying behind someones trail above 4k isn't stupid but flying behind someones trail below 4k is. It's why you plan the dive and dive the plan! Check the video, timeline 1.15. Is that deployment time? That is not really the case you have described above.

No it isnt...flying BEHIND someones trail before deployment is stupid, when its NOT planned. Robert watches for Ludo and vice-versa before they deploy. They do this same move on several jumps. But glad you could find something negative in something positive What do you say if I quote you about this when I teach someone for wing suit flying? There are rules written in blood in this sport. Once thing is getting there unintentional, but doing it on purpose and even advertising? That is the part the anyone can do with a wing suit on. In that position and distance its just bind luck if you fly into a deploying canopy or not. It is something like follow a car on the motorway in 5 meters with the speed of 130 km/h. Do you need someone dying for some nice frames in a video before you agree that was the dumbest thing? I'd rather watch 2 living heros flying than read about 2 dead legend. You did a great job on editing, although I do _not_ want to see that part published.

You choice might not fly together in any other configuration than down-plane in case of two-out.
