allways wondered this..... on my tandem video the rip cord appeared to come off in the instructors hand..... is this true? if so then why arnt there huge piles of ripcord in farmers fields in the lancashire area?

its effectivly a low altitude hop and pop... apart from you dont pull your own ripcord. the line attached to the plane and your chute does that for you. hence the name static line

ditto.... apart from I cant wait to start mine next summer. hopefully ill have enough cash to do the continuation jumps as well!

wow... i'd of thought thats quite a bit considering the time scale! ive done al of one jump so far (lol) and even that was strapped to an instructor. so i'll only of dun 30 max by the end of my next year thingy

but back to these buses.... where i live the buses all come in 3's and one stops to let u on and the rest go past when your getting on..... get it.

do most uk dropzones provide provisional bpa membership free of cost to all aff / s/l students?

if you want quick then change to aff you get more freefall exp. however if you want better knowledge of low altitude openings and hop & pops then stay on s/l. however AFF requires a lot of money up front

dont you have to do that away from civilisation so that you dont land on someones garden shed. hehe

i just saw it... the bid is still US $50,000.00 . its a portable one! this guy is really trying to the thing... he's written almost a page on how great it would be to 'to wake up in the morning and say to yourself I can’t wait to go to work. Well when you own a portable wind tunnel it is like that every day' its pretty funny dnt ya think. what is one of those worth anyway?
