  1. she is SOOOOOO on the list of babes i'm annoyed i was born to late for... a close second to Diane Rigg Yes, but the real question is whether I was born too late for her. BTW, you shouldn't be so selfish with naked pictures of yourself. Dixie HISPA #56 Facil Rodriguez "Scientific research has shown that 60% of the time, it works every time."
  2. Atheist to the core, but I have to admit that SOMEONE did SOMETHING right with the boobies. Dixie HISPA #56 Facil Rodriguez "Scientific research has shown that 60% of the time, it works every time."
  3. When whuffos ask me why I don't skydive in the rain, I tell them its because raindrops have pointy ends too. Mikkel Dixie HISPA #56 Facil Rodriguez "Scientific research has shown that 60% of the time, it works every time."

  5. 20-1/2... If I wasn't talking and helping other club members who are students prolly faster. I have 79 jumps. Jumping a Sabre 170. Dixie HISPA #56 Facil Rodriguez "Scientific research has shown that 60% of the time, it works every time."
  6. [reply With all due respect (likely because you didn't know this), but you're telling a guy (MotherHucker) who's got thousands of jumps (and is a Base Jumper) how to flare. No, I wasn't aware of that but I wasn't directing it toward him. Most times I read through an entire thread before posting a reply to anything...and then I just click on whatever post because I didn't think it really mattered that much, because I rarely pay attention to the actual post title. That was just my two cents, not really directed towards anyone. Mikkel Dixie HISPA #56 Facil Rodriguez "Scientific research has shown that 60% of the time, it works every time."
  7. Also a little wisdom from my instructors: Even if you are just a little bit off the ground, keep holding your toggles down. Many many people, especially new jumpers let the toggles up a little just as they are about to touch down. This is a bad habit to get into, and I think you will have better landings if you remember this tip. 8. A note considering airlines and overweight people buying two seats: At least one airline, Southwest has begun charging people who take up two seats for two seats. We can only hope that the other airlines pick up the trend, though I'm sure they're waiting to see if a lawsuit comes crashing down on SW. 9. With snivels that long, and what people have been saying in this forum about muscle reflexes you may want to consider a different packing method. Perhaps rolling the nose less or not tucking it. I mean, you don't want a hard opening but if you dump at 3 you don't want to find yourself at 1.6 without a flying parachute over your head either. That snivel could turn into a malfunction and suddenly you've cut 1400 ft of time out from under yourself. 10. I jump at a small dropzone @ Clemson, SC with our college club. We stress gear checks during our training and everyone keeps an eye out for each other. Checking chest straps is a norm on the plane, even though I sometimes get funny looks. I have only caught tucked cutaway pillows before in the plane, but a couple of times people had their AAD's off before we go in the plane. I don't think signatures are necessary at a DZ of our size. There's only 4 people in the plane! Dixie HISPA #56 Facil Rodriguez "Scientific research has shown that 60% of the time, it works every time."
  11. Thanks Tim. I started doing all of that stuff when I talked to the very nice rigger lady Cathy who runs the Packing Place in Zehpyr Hills . She very nicely took the time to explain some of the finer points in packing a slower opening, most of which you covered. I didn't have any problems after that, although none of the openings felt good because of the massive bruises on my thighs for the rest of the weekend. I also learned not to stick my hands up in the risers too soon during deployment because that slider can really smack your fingertips good. (That was in the same jump.) Thankfully the canopy I'm jumping now (Sabre 170) hasn't done me wrong and I've been packing it to avoid any such thing. But man I jumped a Manta 288 the other day because I was letting another club member jump my rig, I really miss those soft openings...just not the equally slow turns. 12. Yes, there is a collegiate skydiving club at Clemson. I'm the incoming president for next year. We have a great club of close friends, plans for a 4 way team were foiled by a broken femur. The good news is, the femur is much better (wasn't mine) and is jumping again. I'm hoping to form a 4 way team over the summer. 13. Did you hear about the new pirate movie? It's rated RRRRRRRRRRRR! Dixie HISPA #56 Facil Rodriguez "Scientific research has shown that 60% of the time, it works every time."
  14. Just throwin down my greets. Got into the sport last year with my collegiate skydiving club and I've loved every minute of it. Except when that Sabre 190 spanked the living hell out of me. 15. Our collegiate skydiving club does all of our training and jumping here. Great, friendly atmosphere. Large grass landing strip and airport facilities are very nice. Looking forward to the planned DZ expansion in the near future.
