  1. Gap is a great place to go, from there you can take a fabulous drive to a dropzone called Pujaut near Avignon. Its a couple of hours drive and 2000ft lower, they have 2 Porters there and are a good crowd, drive another couple of hours through Perpignan and over the border to Empuria. Its all good ! 2. ***does anyone know how to get there from barcelona*** Yup, very simple, hire a car drive up the A7 towards France, Perpignan. Turn off at junction 4, follow signs to Roses then Castel d'empuries, then Empuriabrava. If flying in Girona airport is much closer than Barcelona, instructions apply for both. Not done the train but think you can get one Barcelona to Figures, then just jump in a taxi, it'll cost you 20 euros or so from there. Have fun "Life is a bowl of deadly nightshade, stay way way out on the rim brother"
  3. That or dye him red and send the Hunt after him, 30 or 40 horses and dogs chasing it would have sorted it out. "Life is a bowl of deadly nightshade, stay way way out on the rim brother"
  4. How about a steep wide mouthed ramp that shallows to horizontal, lubricated with water.....a bit like the scary slides at the water park !!! Stick it ontop of a 1000ft wall incase you overshoot "Life is a bowl of deadly nightshade, stay way way out on the rim brother"
  5. I did my AFF and consoles there a couple of years ago in July, its not their high season due to weather but still a great place. I had no trouble doing AFF and consoles in 10 days (included acouple of days off). As for getting your FS1 well maybe but AFF gives you a basic competance in the sky, FS1 and flying with other of similar standards is a whole different ball game. Analogy.......If you just started playing Sunday league football (soccer for the yanks) unless you were pretty exceptional you wouln't expect to be playing for Preston North End two weeks later .......and Manchester United would be many seasons away. You'll love it though and as others have said don't be too worried about your FS1 straight away "Life is a bowl of deadly nightshade, stay way way out on the rim brother"
  6. It is very very easy. I went to Kolomna last year and didn't use a travel agent. Just speak to Chris Watkins at www.realrussia.net . They will sort out everything for you, it will take about one week thats all. I think you pay about £40 for the service but it really is worth it. 7. F%@k yes, what's more GF would definately approve and probably shoot video "Life is a bowl of deadly nightshade, stay way way out on the rim brother"
  8. Well it definately still happens, did my AFF and consols in the states (Sebastian) 2 years ago and on return... just needed a sign off from a BPA instructor, my mate needed to complete 4 consoles, was told by the school at Sibson, training not good enough, would have to retake levels and consols and as over 217 lbs BPA rules wouldn't allow it ! (which is bollocks by the way) Anyway went to Hinton and the CCI there Dave Emerson was fine about it, we both got signed off with no problems. Give him a call if your still struggling I do jump back at Sibson now and must say that it is a great place once qualified "Life is a bowl of deadly nightshade, stay way way out on the rim brother"
  9. Yup i'll be coming over, staying in camper van for 3 weeks and driving round the country, so far only got tickets for the Aukland provincial game, don't suppose you fancy parting with a couple of them, for lots of cash and a couple of jumps ? 10. Does it matter, they're all part of the colonies and should therefore be treated with equal contempt. "Life is a bowl of deadly nightshade, stay way way out on the rim brother"
  11. You certainly have a few options which Ryanair / Easyjet serve Gap-Tallard, France. Few wind problems there as the alps sort of block it ! Nice Porters there at the moment including FGodz. Fly to Grenoble (easyjet, 1.5 hour drive). Fabulous views. Pujaut, France. Again nice Porters, fly to Avignon (Ryanair) half hour drive. Sod all english but lots of pointing and nodding works fine, great people Ravenna, Italy. Casa there. Fly to Bologna Forli (Ryanair), 45 min drive. Can't comment on the weather as was only passing through for the day and was foggy ! so no jumping !! There are lots of others in easy Ryanair range, in Sweden Ryanair even lands on the DZ apparently "Life is a bowl of deadly nightshade, stay way way out on the rim brother"

  14. Citrusdal is 2 hours north of Cape Town, very nice small club DZ. Weekends only though but worth the trip. "Life is a bowl of deadly nightshade, stay way way out on the rim brother"
