  1. QuoteQuick question guys, whats Hinton like during the week. Good
  2. Try asking them at the DZ (tel 01295 812300). I think there are a couple of good ones nearby and I'm sure someone will be willing to give you a lift if you buy them a couple of beers at the end of the jumping day. Roo p.s. did you go up there on tuesday? if so how many jumps did you manage to get in?
  3. Yeh, Hinton tends to get rolling about 9.30 -10.00( best to get there for 9ish) on a tuesday depending what's been booked in (tandems help to get the plane up)and how many people are there, but i think you should be able to get 3-5 jumps in (maybe more . might do better than that because they have a brand new pac since the last time I was there. Say hello to everyone there from me, they are all stars and I miss them all, hopefully my work load will slow down enough soon so I can get up there to see them. Have fun, be safe, ROO p.s. club fee is a tenner.
  4. Hi Buzz, I should be up at Hinton on thursday so make sure you bring the good weather with you, Roo
  5. Hi there I've flown out to Empuri twice this year (from Bournemouth) and on both occassions i booked the sports equipment option by phone (£30 return up to 30kg) after booking my tickets online and have had no problems at check in here or in Spain. I think that as long as you plan ahead and let them know in advance(and pay the £15 e/w) they shouldn't have any problems with carrying parachutes. Hope this helps, if not PM me and i'll be able to provide more info/support letters. Roo
  6. jump 9- horseshoe mal. Went to pull and as I done this I de-arched enough for me to flip onto my back during deployment(yep self-induced mal). The pc shot under my arm causing the bridle and lines to wrap around my arm. The main stayed in the bag floating above my arm by a couple of feet. I can remember looking at it (everything seemed to go in slow motion) and saying to myself please don't come out of the bag as it will really hurt. Used the reserve (sos system) and rode down with the main still in the bag between my legs. As I was a newby I didn't realise why everybody was fussing about when I got back. Passed the level the next day though. It wasn't until a couple of days later that it sunk in how lucky I had been. Got it on video but I haven't a scooby how to upload it onto the video site Blue skies ROO
