  1. How long did your stuff take to be delivered from Russia?
  2. Thanks Wendy, I appreciate the input. I just ordered a canopy from him and it's coming from Russia, so naturally I was a bit concerned.
  3. I recently purchased a canopy from Jeff Barlow who has multiple advertisements up, and his profile has 700+ advertisements on his history. The canopy was listed in the United States but the shipping info he just provided states it's coming from Russia. Has anyone done business with this guy or is he scamming me? Mike

  5. I'm putting together my first rig because I'm taller (6 foot 3) and can't find a whole lot in the way of a complete rig. After speaking with a few instructors I thought settling on a 190 main would be a good start, so I've got a used sabre 2 coming in with about 100 jumps on it. Wings is willing to offer a veteran discount, so I'm going to have a custom container made that'll fit me. I'm thinking I'll stick a used 190 reserve in there as well, but can't find any used, so may have to buy new. I'm looking at the firebird rush reserve. Same with the AAD, so I'll likely buy new. Can I ask Wings to format the container to be able to fit the next down size to a 170 within that same container? I'm hoping to be able to stay in the container for longer than just the one canopy size since it will fit me right. Does this approach make sense? Do you see where I'm doing something wrong or where I could be doing something better? Thanks in advance for any guidance.

  7. Your response was hugely helpful. Just because you can do something, doesn't necessarily mean that you should or that it's smart. I also never would have guessed that the price was above market since it seems so low. Thanks again for the support.
  8. Thanks for the thoughtful response and attachments, it much appreciated.
  9. Thanks for your perspective on this, it was definitely helpful. Interesting history as well.
  10. I see a current posting for used PD-R Tempo reserves for $399, and I'm of the mindset that if it's too good to be true then it is, but I'm also new to the sport. This is not necessarily an area where I would skimp, but I'm looking for some guidance. Are they legit, and if so, why so cheap. Any other guidance or tips would be greatly appreciated, I'm trying to purchase the canopies so I can order my container.
