If price is your only criteria then the Rapier may be for you. Personally I prefer to be supplied with a quality product that resembles the advertised claims. The helmet is very poorly finished, the sizing is incorrect – I measure 58cm and a large is very tight with no chance of wearing a Time Out, the visor is glued into the helmet – not great for fitting a new one, though mine was loose on arrival! Service was excellent until the imperfect product arrived, Headfirst are now ignoring my e-mails, though not before informing me that the Rapier is on special offer because of the poor quality. (Pity they didn’t tell me this before I paid, as it is not mentioned anywhere on their website or on the invoice supplied.) It may be cheap but if like me you have to buy another helmet it ceases to be much of a bargain. (Contact me and I’ll e-mail you photos of this product and you can make up your own mind.)
