  3. go to dinner at the old spagetti factory on the Lacleads (sp?) landing next to the Arch. Tour the Arch ride up to top but get there early to advoid long wait. I'm not sure if the A-B budweiser brewry has tours on saturdays but I think they do it'd just off I-55 near 12th they give free samples of beer and the Clysdales horse stables are so clean you could eat off the tiled floor. call my brother Don 314 831 8077 he'll have bunch of good ideas Mike
  4. Where else would you expect to find Richard at in Perris? The bar of course... I arrived Saturday after deaf record jump already laned I took new part time job with Fedex so I wasn't able to make it in time.. maybe next time... and yea I need two deaf record jump T-shirts too... John still have any left? i'll take 2 one for my ex g/f... other for me. Yes, Jessica was great interpiter for the jumps It was nice of her to volinteer her services. as for next DWR jumps.. i'll be there! Mike

  6. been herein DFW 7 years. drop zone's suck except for SSM, been to skydive dallas and no one wants jump with new guy..stuck up skygod types. I DON'T even jump in texas I fly else where to jump.. Mike -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 860 jumps and noone will jump with ya? Never been to Spaceland, Skydive Houston, Beaumont, Aggieland? Just because you don't like Dallas you bash the whole state? I didn't bash the whole state just the DFW area.. I been to SSM nice drop zone friendly people I know people from Houston area, but have never gotten out that was its nice here and raining there or something.. Mike

  8. My CFI/CFII was a left arm amputee. His prosthesis could get quite annoying, as it wasn't always where he thought it was! I have a SODA certficate to fly without the Prosthesis arm I hate it. I need it for skydiving to flare however.. Mike

  10. so your hearing impaired too? I'm deaf skydiver and a A&P / private pilot too and aircraft mechanic for American Airlines on the 767. lot mechanics laid off now, but expect that to improve as airlines recover.. mike
  11. L&B products makes them with LED lights that light / flash I'm deaf and should get one.. but heaven't But John Woo, Billy Vance and some of other deaf skydivers have the visual alerts LED light system. Also few camera people are using it too.. mike

  14. 1) many of the rig mfg will have demo gear with several different type of mains for you to try. do get checked out on the rigs, pratice with it before you jump it some are BOC and others are on leg strap..also check with demo gear vendor on opening chartis of the main.. some take a bit to open..other open fast.. 2) yes demo gear is often for sale, and someones always got some gear for sale at WFFC.. 5) AAD are not required at convention, almost all the demo gear have add's now.. 6) go to the convention and learn, attend semiars, meet / make new friends Mike
