  1. I put about 300 jumps on my Triathlon 160 and only had one hard opening (line dump). I rolled the nose on mine about 3 or 4 times. It usually opened in about 600-700 ft. always on heading. I hear alot of negative stuff from people about TRI'S but I think they are great. Just make sure your line stows are tight. Dom
  2. Here is another way to do it. You can have the third party be a gear store. Have him send it to one and let them have it inspected. It will cost the seller about 100.00 or so . If it is good gear the store will let you know. Plus they will make sure it is sold for a fair price. Then you have the peace of mind that you will get what you are paying for and not have to worry about some body running off with your check. Dom
  3. Like Lisa said. wait till you guys see the next one. It will really get your attention. But if it does get us in trouble, It was all lisa's fault. Dom
  4. Is there anyone from Raeford who knows Mike Kailin? We are old Army buddies, who learned to jump together. I'm trying to get back in touch with him. Dom
  5. Welcome to the sport. I hope you have as many fun times and meet as many great people as I have. I also learned through static line. It gets better. Keep it up and be SAFE! Blue skies Dom
  6. They both make very good helmets but I like Boneheads a little better. They are easier to get the right fit. The way they can be baked to give you a custom fit is really nice. I've seen them come along way in the last 5 or so years. I Really think the Flat Top Pro is the best helmet on the market. Or if you do a lot of free flying you should check out the OPTICK. Dom
  7. Don't know if I'm allowed to tell you where I work since they might take it as advertising. But it wouldn't fit into a round slot and comes before the number 2. Dom
  8. Sorry Keith but it's all about the ladies for me. But I do know a few guys around Perris you might like Dom
  9. Get the second opinion! I have seen someone go in from 2000 ft. Break almost everything on one side of his body and jump again a year later. Find a doctor who is a skydiver and understands what the body goes through during a jump. Remember the mind is a powerful thing as well. If you set your mind to it I bet you can recover and jump again. Good luck!!!! Dom
  10. I agree with the last post. It works at least you know that! After my first reserve ride (or right before I cut away) I realized I did not know if it really worked! The next time I bought a reserve, I jumped it as a main first. Nothing like a little piece of mind.
  11. Welcome. Hope I see you around the DZ. Dom
