  1. The FF2 is without a doubt, the best camera helmet on the market offering more protection for the jumper than any other helmet in the industry. Coupled with this it offers a combination of superior protection and accessibility that few helmets can rival.

I use an FF2 with Sony pc101 and ordinary Sony 0.6 lens (not at all low profile). The camera can be positioned so that the lens sits flush with the front of the box, leaving nothing exposed to catch a line or suffer from a strike. Literally only 1mm of lens is exposed. The box has been re-designed so as to deflect risers and lines away from the helmet. The internal closing mechanism and top mounted hinge present no snag risk while the box itself sits within a lip designed to deflect lines. As such, you can run a line over this helmet without fear of a snag at any point resulting in a helmet that is more snag proof than the average non-camera helmet.

On the right side of the helmet there are twin audible ports ensuring you never have an excuse for going low and a Cameye II can be built into the body of the helmet at the factory assisting your filming without ruining the clean lines of your new toy.

The chin cup is now deeper than before as a result of feedback from posters on this very website proving that this manufacturer actually listens to its customers. This chin cup can be ordered with a factory fitted 2-ring circus and Teflon cutaway cable ensuring and trouble-free escape from any snag that could occur with top mounted camera equipment. This is the only such system on the market place and the only cutaway system that is not affected by a force exerted on the helmet (such as dragging a cutaway main).

I have no quality control issues with this helmet whatsoever and have found 2k products to be of absolutely the best finish. Not only that but 2k helmets are built to your specific head measurements, not simply some small/medium/large fitment scale like many others. These helmets are incredibly popular in Europe and must wear well as there are still many examples of the earlier versions (such as those pictured on this page) to be found at dropzones.

  2. The price of this helmet places it as competing against things like the Gath but at that price this helmet offers a hard skin with luxurious padding and twin internal audible ports. It simply outclasses any other in it’s price bracket offering features which mean it is the equal of any bonehead lid.

I have this helmet as my camera-free open face and couldn’t be happier. Friends have this same helmet with the camera mods that are available from the factory starting at £25. Simply add a chin cup and one of these mod plates (top or side or both) at the time of purchase or later when you take up camera and you have yourself a full camera helmet free of the usual snag points found on many home made mounts.

It’s light, cheap and comfortable offering all the protection and features to be found on any helmet hundreds of dollars more expensive.

  3. Any helmet that can undercut a pro-tech and not look quite so much like a student helmet is worth a look for the new time skydiver. Not so sure how much protection this would offer but will at least do better than a Gath, and for about a third of the price. Basically a bonehead knockoff but without the rigidity or high end build quality. A good cheep starter helmet.

  4. It has simply the best pud design on the market - get it instead of a hacky.

Its an excellent rig, easily the equal of any other on the market. This is not an in-depth review - there are plenty here. Their customer service is seccond to none. Go buy one and see for yourself.

  5. Excellent customer service. Almost exact copy of Z1 parasport. Not got the build quality, although appears to give very good protection and is extremely comfortable. Dont expect to break or anything, just appears a bit rough round the edges. Visor bolts required modding as ones supplied were very poor. Otherwise great. Look out for Cougar II as I hear all my current worries have been adressed.
