I'm a truckdriver and a skydiver... I see that you are a driver too... You might want to take an OTR driving job and see the country for yourself... There are many beautifil places... but you need to be able to make a decent living too. My favorite areas are the Pacific Northwest and the Florida Keys... But I just haven't found a good enough reason to leave. I'm affraid that I would miss my friends too much.

I'm a truck driver and a skydiver... And yes, I do get to sneak in jumps while I'm on the road. I don't generally stay out on the road for weeks on end like a lot of guys do. I own the truck and the company, so if I want to take a few days off on the road somewhere, I will. I often see drivers at my home DZ hanging out for the weekend as well, so I know I'm not the only one.

Blue Skies, Black Death (Roger Nelson)
JohnnyZ replied to SkymonkeyONE's topic in Blue Skies - In Memory Of
Skydive Chicago will never be quite the same to me. I have only been in the sport for about a year and a half now, learning everything I know from Roger and his wonderful staff. Roger was such a nice guy and would ask to jump with me almost every day I was there. It was a pleasure to have jumped with him and even more of a pleasure to talk with him and get to know him a little. My deepest sympathy to Missy , Rook, the entire SDC family and to the thousands of other people who's lives have been touched by Roger. Blue Skies Forever! John Zagoda -
If you want an excellent suit at a fair price and don't want to wait more than a month to get it, then this is the suit for you. I ordered mine on-line and recieved it 13 days later. Mike Michigan even called me the day he was to make it to make sure I didn't want to make any last minute changes. Perfect fit and awesome looks. This was my first Michigan suit, but it definitely won't be the last.

I'm in the market for a new freefly suit... My 1st freefly suit that is. Who makes the best quality suits at the best price with the best delivery time? So far the Michigan suits I've seen people wearing look pretty cool and are $250 with V-Stripes, pin stripes, and only about a 2 week delivery time. Does anyone else compare or beat that deal for a similar or better quality suit?

I was looking for the same answers you are a couple of months ago. I ended up buying a Skytronic FX. It does everything the Pro-Track does, but it holds only 200 jumps compared to Pro-Tracks 1000 jumps. If you are too lazy to update your log book at least once every 200 jumps, then get the Pro-Track, otherwise I recommend the Skytronic FX. --- Oh yeah, it's really easy to figure out how to work them. And they are around $75 cheaper (money=more jumps)

The pants really are great. Great cuff design that will never come undone. Excellent quality in a pair of pants. The only bad part about this purchase was the slow delivery time. I took about 12 weeks for me to get mine because they said the outside contractor that had this order had a death in the family (or something like that). They were a little loose in the waiste and rear-end, but $8 at a local tailor fixed that overnight.

I have a low prescription with astigmatism in both eyes. I bought the 103's from SportRx and I love them. With a mild prescription like mine, the goggles look just like non-prescription goggles. They fog up less than any other goggle I've tried. You really can't get a sporty curved-lense prescription pair of sunglasses that look the way they should. I've tried.

I just bought a new Skytronic, but the directions they give you are very minimal... Does anybody out there know how to change it from Meters to Feet?

I'll check out some skate/bike shops... Thanks!

Yeah, I checked out the Riders Rage from Bonehead, but that's designed for motorcycle riding. It looks too much like a salad bowl. I'd like to find somebody that makes one that is more form-fitting... One that drops down behind the ear. I appreciate your input...

I've been in search of an open eared composite helmet for use on hotter days. I've come close, but havent found exactly what I'm looking for. A jumper in the Javelin Odyssey ad on page 60 of Feb. '02's Parachutist has what I'm looking for. Can anybody out there help me?
