Everyone of us "ole timers" know and respect who and what you have done for skydiving in the past. The skydiving world changes, and you must be able to change with the new ways. DZ.com is open to everyone who wishes to make comments as long as they fall in HH's rules. To call non skydivers arrogantly thinking that the forum is for them only, we could then apply that to you, as thinking the the forum is for only us the "old farts". You, nor I, control DZ.com. You got angry at a moderator that locked a thread posted by you about your unhappiness with the DP Cooper thread was out of line on your part. Simple, just don't ever read it again! Jim, Of your 140 posts to DZ.com you have posted 138 to SHT forum, and two posts to general skydiving. Interesting. You may think that since you are an "old timer" that you have earned "a right of entitlement" to the SHT forum, and the right to censor "your forum" for content that you do not like. I personally find the Cooper discussion entertaining, and at times interesting. I further assure you that I do not have BO, nor am I a nerd with nothing better to do. I am a professional and work everyday. I just find it disturbing when someone tries to control what I read! Aren't you an author? Well, shame on you for trying to censor something that you do not like personally. How can you state that it is not about skydiving? You well know that every drop zone in the country was interviewed by the FBI I agree with you that the hijacking was NOT skydiving, but skydiving was most certainly affected by his unlawful caper. Read the thread "another black eye for skydiving" in a forum that you do not visit. DP Cooper DID leave a black eye on skydiving. Do you think that I, like reading a thread about "do you want to see a naked man in all his glory"? Nope. Do you think I like to read about "boobies" for extra altitude? Nope. Do you think I like to read about certain posters "stalking" ? Nope! Do I read or open them? NOPE! If you don't like a thread, mark it read and move on. Lighten up a bit

Nope, belly flying is not dead, and it will not ever die! Back to the good ole' days for us! Flying three Cessna RW formations again, making planned formations and the skydivers are loving it

Just tell us. Did you use your moderator powers once again? If you did, shame on you. Some people need to learn tolerance of others who do not hold their viewpoints.

Well, don't about the "boobies", etc. But, yes it has changed To many banner ads and Google's small ads at the top of pages are really slowing down DZ.com on hight speed. Can't imagine what it is doing to our old dial up

Happy you did not leave, and glad to have you and your input back to the forum. You do not have to limit your post to one a day. This is an open forum, and you should be able to post information that you find informative, and yes, you can speculate!! Look at the incident forums. Posters post speculation all the time and most of the time they are not deleted or banned from that site. Don't ramble in a post and keep it civil with new information and you will be welcomed. Welcomed by some, or most of us except the few nay-sayers, and that is ok because they have their opinion and think this is "garbage talk". That opinion is ok, because a lot of other threads are "garbage talk". I do agree that some posters to this thread are rude, crude and they should not click on the DB Cooper link if it makes them angry. If you don't like what is here then just not opening this this thread would be a smart move from their point of view, and might even let them lower their blood pressure medicine. I don't open some links because I know they just might offend me and my "delicate" senses. So why would they ever open this link? If the do open this link and post rude remarks, let it go and forget about them. Lee West, not Jim, but I have been around as long has he has, just not that many skydives.

Why vilify this woman searching for answers? She is doing you no harm or anyone else. She has never said she was proud of what he did and she has never said she approved of what he did! In regards to pricing for the NAC accuracy event I need to clairfy the costs. Registration for accuracy competition is $45.00, includes one ticket for Hog Roast Sat evening. Accuracy jumps are $12.00 each from 4500' Six jumps for the accuracy event. There, I think I have it right this time

Registration fee $45.00 includes ticket to Pig Roast with turkey breast and 6 jumps from 4500'. If not registered for the competition, tickets for the hog roast will be $10.00. $12.00 per jump Pig roast with all the fixings at the West home after jumping. Pop provided, BYOB if want beer or wine. Ted Rose Memorial Information Ted passed away January 15, 2007 on his way to a SOS and POPS skydiving events in Florida. Everyone is welcome to share this event in his honor. Ted's ashes will be dispersed during this event. In the evening we will be gathering at the West home for a pig roast, and turkey breasts with all the fixings. There will be plenty of soda. If you want beer, wine or booze please BYOB.
