  1. WTF is going on here? The thought of me "registering" with anybody is about the most narcissistic thing I've ever read. Robert this has nothing to do with you. I am simply interested in seeing first-hand what the site looks like on the ground. Therefore, I shall visit the site, take some picture and roll. How could you possibly interpret my comments as somehow desiring to go on a canceled camp out? What the hell is this crap about you approving my request to join the trek to the placard site? This is ridiculous. It has nothing to do with anyone but me. The truth is my only agenda. I could care less whether it's you (Robert), 377, or Jesus Christ himself (well maybe I'd care about that) who was organizing some trip. The narcissism is stunning. I'm really trying hard to get along with everyone. That said, it becomes very difficult when I read the commentary about me, from you, that I've read. I mind my own business. Leave people alone. Respect people's opinions. Let people know what I'm thinking (daily), and why. It's obvious you don't know me at all. I harbor no ill will toward anybody. That said, I'm not going to long put up with characterizations that I consider false. Frankly, as a 53 year-old guy, I've got enough "real" baggage to own up to in my life then to have to deal with made-up $#!+ as well. Here's the deal: STOP. Think before your write. I'm down with everyone here, even Derrick and his misguided tactics--he just wants to be heard. Let's extend a little grace from time to time. It's actually very liberating. Cheers!
  2. If SWAT shows up, I start to wonder what the hell is really going on with this DB Cooper case.
  3. I do have the GPS coordinates. At the end of the day, I don't think anyone is going to give a $#!+ if some guy conducting research walks onto the property. After all, it's not a commercial endeavor. If I arrive and someone kicks me off of the property, I just leave. Simple as that. In the words of Joan of Arc, "I am not afraid...I was born to do this."
  4. I'm going to be in that area within a few weeks. I will "trespass" and get some shots from the spot or very close to the spot. I am very curious myself.
  5. Daily DB Cooper Bite for today. I discuss the subjective evidence.
  6. Today's Daily DB Cooper Bite. I discuss some of the evidence found on the jet.
  7. I read the "this piece of evidence is worthless because you can't prove X" a lot. For those who embrace that line of thought, good luck. What is ever proved before it's proved? An example is the tie. It is foolish to suggest that evidence from the tie is of little or no value until one can prove that he didn't buy it at a thrift store. The tie was owned by Cooper. It was found on his seat. Witnesses saw him wearing a skinny black tie. That should settle the matter. The Goodwill argument is also ridiculous. First off, what is the likelihood that the tie was purchased second hand? Then , if this is the case, what is the likelihood that it was purchased second hand recently enough where particles on the tie were from the previous owner and not Cooper? Next, what is the likelihood that the commercially pure titanium, high-grade stainless steel and rare earth elements common to the aerospace industry happened to find their way to the tie from the previous owner and not DB Cooper considering Cooper's unique knowledge of the 727? You see my point? The odds are overwhelming. Yet apparently they're still not overwhelming enough for some to consider. Again, good luck with your investigation. The secret bank account info...came from Sheridan himself.
  8. Sheridan Peterson was never dismissed by the FBI. He has continued to be a suspect since within one week of the skyjacking. It's important to note that the only agents from the FBI to interview Sheridan were Mary Jean Fryar and her junior partner. In fact, Mary Jean interviewed him twice in 2003 and wrote the 302 related to Sheridan's interviews with them. Put another way, she is the eyes and ears of the FBI as it relates to Sheridan. Everything the FBI knows or thinks about Sheridan as a suspect comes from her, plus the results of the DNA comparison. I have talked with Mary Jean several times and I can say with certainty she is not at all convinced that Sheridan was not DB Cooper. In fact, she is highly suspicious of Sheridan. Moreover, Sheridan himself stated that Mary Jean told him that they think he is DB Cooper when they approached him in 2003. That said, meeting a certain legal threshold and proving Sheridan was DB Cooper is an entirely separate matter.
  9. The Daily DB Cooper Bite. I discuss Cooper's tie and some of the evidence gathered from the tie.
  10. Your Daily DB Cooper Bite. I discuss DBC's familiarity with the 727 and an apparent Boeing connection.
  11. As some of you know, I've launched the DB Cooper Channel on YouTube which, as it stands now, includes my Daily DB Cooper Bite. My plan is to add quite a bit to the channel over time including a live stream of my search on Bachelor Island. The channel can be found at: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCewfNi-lPOshvd9t55NXbbA
  12. Yes precisely, a training dummy reserve used for scoop and throw demonstration purposes. I appreciate your response. My understanding is that often times the lines and canopy were simply laid back into the canister as you've stated. Other instructors apparently opted to daisy chain the lines to make it that much easier to lay back into the canister. I've been trying to get an idea of how prevalent each of these practices was--i.e., 50/50, or 75/25, etc. Thank you again.
  13. I'm conducting research and am attempting to ascertain how reserve chutes used for simulation and demonstration purposes were usually packed during the 1970s during the era of manually removing the reserve chute from its canopy. Specifically, how common was it for the shroud lines to be daisy chained so that the demonstration reserve chute could easily be put back in the canister, versus simply packing the lines and chute back in the canister, versus packing the demonstration reserve chute as if it were being prepared for an actual jump?
