People never remember the good stuff....just bitch about the bad. I can give GREAT customer service to a client for years and they never say "boo", but if I drop the ball once they bitch and bitch. A freefly collision broke my buddy's lens right off his camera. The mounting piece is broke also. I want cover the expense of repair and need to know which direction to take. Is Sony the way to go ?? Should we order a new lens and have it fixed localy ?? I want to find the cheapest way to repair it but at the same time I want it fixed right. Yea ! I got screwed out of all my $ after my first tandem jump. I had to pay to do it again! Then I had to pay for AFF! Then I had to pay for my rig!(which I love) Not to mention I have to pay for my jumps and all that beer. Skydiving is such a scam .................................. I had that same question. My friend has a 182 and always offers a ride up. Of course this always happens in my bar late at night. I would love a ride to 5000 over the beach by my house.The beach has no traffic there and people are few and far between so landing is wide open. I've always assumed that ethier myself or the pilot would pay if we got caught so I've never planned anything. Will authorities take your rig ??? Arrest you upon landing?? I can see myself making a great jump and awesome landing and then having to deal with a bunch of BS. Till I know for sure I'll just stick with the DZ Bob ( I just read all the FAA rules governing this and it seems it can be done) .................................. Congratulations Andrea ! Your a bad ass skydiving mama. Taking this sport seriously and having a level head pays off again. I do emergency procedures on EVERY jump...I know my first cutaway is out there waiting for me and I want to be as ready as I can. I agree on the RSL.....IMHO I feel RSL are great for students and some others but personaly I want to deploy my reserve once away from the main and stable. I often try to force myself to have a lucid dream where I'm in freefall and having sex....My "main" does not have time to inflate before pull time so no sex for me. Maybe I need a "fluffer"on the ride up .................................. Better you than me ..................................

I got pulled over on the way to the DZ this morning for not coming to a complete stop. Officer was very nice, and I explained my rush to get in the air. He let me go and told me to have fun and wear my helmet......this got me thinking the rest of the drive......How many of you have been stopped for speeding on route to your DZ? How many have been stopped for speeding on the way home? I know the speed limit seems slow after free-flying so I've been pulled over on the way home also. "Wow ,I was doin 80 mph.......sure felt slower than that officer" Just curious about the excuses that have been used. Blue skies Bob ..................................
