  1. Except there is a very easy way to change the trajectory. Finish the vaccination program. Step up the efforts and get this done quicker. If everyone got vaccinated over the next several months, the trajectory would be a complete 180. Even if only 50% of the USA got vaccinated in the next few months, that by itself would drastically reduce the number of cases. I mean, at worse it would be half of whatever it would be if no one was vaccinated.
  2. And add to the fact that the CA 'lockdown' is anything but. Most people are not staying at home. They are still doing as they do, just there are some restrictions on things like bars, late night partying, ect. A true lockdown would be you dont leave the house, and most people are still leaving their homes plenty.
  3. he's a jobless unemployed american, same as the 5000 million he helped make.
  4. 400,000 covid deaths today. RIP to the families of all of them.
  5. So you're saying there is no possibility that two seperate companies could have developed a new tech? It has to be a conspiracy theory? You realize the dosing instruction is different for the two? One you wait 21 days, the other 28. You know mRNA is not new right? It has existence for some time, just it's never been used in humans. But it's been used in animals many times. What's with you freaking guys and always assuming it's the 1% chance conclusion over the 99% chance one? Like everything has to be some giant conspiracy.
  6. Well you're incorrect. They conducted their own trails separately. The two products weren't even developed in the same country.

    covid-19

Because history is a pretty clear indicator of the future. Name anything that we've done during this pandemic that hasent failed on an epic scale other than develop the vaccine? The entirety of all aspects of everything related to this pandemic has been a joke. It's been used as a political front to create divide which has resulted in countless deaths. We haven't gotten a single thing right since this started.

    covid-19

At the rate of current vaccination, we should complete everyone right around the time COVID-22 comes out.
  9. Yep and that exact link also demonstrates what everyone already knows. That is two points: -The vast majority of those who die from Covid are over 60. -The vast majority of those over 60 have a preexisting condition. (75%, increasing to 85% at age 80). -Ultimately, nearly 1 in 2 Americans have a preexisting condition, so it's less 'covid only kills those with a preexisting condition' and more 'most people, especially older people have a preexisting condition regardless'. Correlational and causation are not the same thing. All old people have a preexisting condition so of course they would also have it when they die. Also, using that same data for most under 50 it doesent matter if you have a preexisting condition or not. For someone who is 35 the chance of death is 0.004% if they have no existing condition and rises to 0.200% if they have one, which is still extremely low.
  10. It's called deductive reasoning. Look it up. If they are holding 300k doses back and they are not going to be administered, which the article did say, then obviously those doses are not going to just be magically replaced on the spot with new ones.
  11. Makes sense. Sacrifice 1000 to save 1. How many people are going to die now that 300,000 fewer vaccinations will be going into people's arms? https://www.pbs.org/newshour/health/california-urges-stop-to-300000-covid-19-vaccines-after-some-fall-ill
  12. All pointless. Biden could reverse every one of those things in his first hour of office. I dont get the point of firing everyone you dont like a week before you're out of a job. Biden could easily just fire all of the replacements and hire the old guys back, which I wouldent be surprised if he did.
  13. You're right, North Korea which is the most totalitarian dictatorship in the entire known universe, which has basically no health care system of any sort and no government except for military supremacy, has somehow been able to contain the most contagious virus of the current times. A feat that more than 200 other countries have failed to claim, including all 10 of the top 10 most medically-advanced countries. I dont supposed this totalitarian dictatorship might possibly be lying about their numbers for the sake of holding high the trusted Lil Kim name? Probably not... I am sure it's the first one. Then again it's hard to claim you have confirmed COVID-19 cases when you don't actually poses any testing ability nor any medical system to obtain and examine the results in the first place. So maybe they are technically honest. Lots of covid deaths, but no covid cases I am sure.
  14. He already left office. The dude has been checked out of this job for months.
  15. Yea, is that logic based on a comprehensive study of your favorite Covid-related discussions on Facebook? It's been publicly modeled and stated by all of the health officials that if we do nothing millions will die from Covid. So far every projection they have made has come true. In fact, Trump explicitly claimed he 'saved millions of lives' by enacting the lockdowns. He used those models as a speaking point to praise himself on how good of a job he did.
  16. Except both of those numbers are bullshit, so not really. Sort of like how China was the epicenter of the outbreak, but suddenly one day they went from thousands of cases a day to zero overnight. Ugh ha.
  17. There are some countries doing very well actually. New Zealand and Vietnam have done very well. They both have next to no cases.
  18. Is that based on an extensive study involving several hours a day on Facebook? The people who actually know what they are talking about (e.g. the MDs and PhDs) would argue otherwise. When the hospitals get overwhelmed, shit gets real quickly for anyone who needs medical attention. In some parts of CA, they are literately turning people away who would normally get front-line treatment in the ER because they flat-out dont have the resources. There are no beds and no one to help. Healthcare is not an unlimited resource and if it's consumed then it's gone and you dont get it. That's a problem for anyone who would need to go to the hospital for any reason, including reasons that are not related to Covid and not the patient's fault in any capacity.
  19. Despite the overwhelming evidence that the cost of lockdowns far outweighs the limited benefits, many policymakers lack the backbone or creativity to come up with any alternative. Saving millions of lives is considered a 'limited benefit'? It's not the policymakers that are the problem, it is the people. The CDC has made it clear what we need to do to stop the spread. If we had 100% compliance, there would be no lockdowns anywhere because this shit would be under control. But people like to just ignore the problem and hope it will go away and that's not how this works, so as expected the problem just gets worse. That's entirely and squarely our fault because we're the ones causing this problem in the first place. The dude who wont wear his mask. The bar who throws a massive NYE party. The family that has a 30-person get-together over the holidays. We are to blame for our mistakes, not the government. I had a solution, it's a effective and it is super simple. No restrictions, no mask requirements, but anytime the positivity rate increases above 7.5% in the state, the entire state goes into lockdown for a minimum of 21 days or until the rate drops below 5%. No one goes out, not for any reason unless absolutely necessary. Then put it on the people. Want to keep your job, business and home? Then you better wise up quickly. This will cause society to start putting pressure on others to do the right thing because otherwise everyone will be in deep shit. There are states doing similar things right now and they tend to constantly be in the top 5 for lowest infection rates nationwide.
  20. I wonder if all the crying liberals who always advocate for dissolving the NRA would be equally as quick to support legislature to repeal the 1st amendment. God knows I can sure as hell think of a few people who's speech being censored would be in everyone's best interest. If this is about saving lives, I'd argue that spreading false information has killed far more people than gun violence ever has.
  21. This seems like the exact type of thing a Trump supporter would do. Makes perfect sense. https://www.mercurynews.com/2021/01/12/manatee-spotted-in-florida-river-with-trump-etched-into-its-back/
  22. Easy. I'll name 10. here you go: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_countries_without_political_parties
  23. The problem is the mere presence of political parties. There needs to be a constitutional amendment baring the creation or affiliation of any political party by any member of congress. Everyone must be an independent. That would solve a lot of issues overnight.
