  1. aww, thanks jen! its the truth, I wrote my admissions essay to college saying all that, bec its true.. I dont look at just a childrens superhero, people see what they want to see.. some see a man in a cape, some see... happiness, strength.. to each his own is what I say.. who is anyone to judge anyone else on things like that...
  2. you're prolly right steve, but it still makes me mad
  3. i just wish i would have thought of something good to say.. i always think of the good lines TOO late... grrr
  4. I have a superman lunchbox, most of you know that.. my coworkers have seen me carry it to work everyday... so what? right? Well today, I was told I shouldn't carry it because it was "unprofessional" ... as you can expect that was a surprise to me, as that is one word that has NEVER been used to describe me, especially by anyone that has worked with me, truthfully thats the last word i think anyone would use to describe me, no one has ever called me that, and i've had a superman lunchbox to carry my lunch for years. I'd like to say that people judging me after seeing something as trivial as what I carry my lunch in didnt bother me, but it did. Officers talking behind my back makin fun of me or my lunchbox without knowing what kind of person I am, or why I even have it, them judging me..um yeah.. thats professional of them isnt it. I know I shouldnt let them get to me but I feel like I want to defend myself soI guess I'll explain... my friends know that I like superman, only my close friends have bothered to ask why.. so why superman?... He may be a fictional character, but his values, what he does and who he is, is something to aspire to be... a person filled with honesty, someone with courage, someone who always stands up and fights for what they know is right... so.. I always have a superman symbol somewhere in sight, hell, I have it tattooed on myself, it reminds me to always be myself and stand up for other people, stand up for myself and most of all be a strong person, and this isn't a bag of crap I made up.. supermans motto is "Truth, Justice and the American Way" and i'm proud that I want to live up to that. So... I have something to look up to and that helps me be the person I want to be, I'd like to think that most people have something to look up to that helps them be the person they want to be. if you dont understand me.. go ahead.. talk behind my back, you can judge me, but i'm not afraid to be me, i'm not afraid to stand out, I dont want to be like everyone else, so yeah.. i was upset.. now i'm like whatev, at least i know i'm professional and those that have worked with me know i'm professional (my OERs prove it) ok.. done venting for the nite...
  5. The straw that really broke the camels back was that EVERY single hand out they gave us yesterday had either a grammar or spelling mistake that I know spell check will catch. And then they are going to lecture us on proper forms and such? For the Harry Potter fans - this year is shaping up to be like Fred and George's last year at Hogwarts in the Order of the Phoenix - I feel a bit of a mischievous streak coming on WHY cant I get teachers like YOU!?!?1
