  1. You are awfully quick to questions the man’s integrity. Once again no facts. You didn't answer the questions...
  2. So, if he wasn't wearing a parachute, how come he was doing practice pulls on the way down? How do we know he didn't have a base rig underneath that floppy shirt... Oh,, and won't the FAA yank the pilot's license for letting someone exit his plane without a dual parachute rig?
  3. Overcompensation for their mental and physical inadequacies. So why do people with mental and physical inadequacies predominately buy white F-150's?
  4. Ford F-150's are the most popular selling vehicle in America. And white is the most popular vehicle color. Therefore, your observation really doesn't mean anything. If jerks were distributed evenly amongst all cars, you would see more of them in white F-150's simply because there are more of those on the road than any other type of vehicle. Not because jerks prefer them for some reason. You would also see more careful drivers in white F-150's. WTF does that have to do with southern California? I specifically said SoCal. Without even looking it up I can nearly guarantee it's not the most popular selling vehicle there. Well then, what is your theory for why jerks end up driving white F150's? Because that's what I see on the road. As clearly stated right up front, in southern California. You've already said that's what you observe. What I'm asking you to do is to explain *WHY* this is so.
  5. Truman, Coolidge, Hoover, Harding, Lincoln - would you call those bad presidents?
  6. Angie has passed away, a former skydiver at the Aggies Over Texas (AOT) drop zone in Bryan, Texas. [inline Angie1.jpg] [inline Angie2.jpg] [inline Angie3.jpg]

  8. Unless they bust her for fraud or contempt, she isn't going to jail. Though a psychiatric hospital just might be the best place for her Think of the poor mental patients she would torture... Yeah, people are screaming all the time. There's no peace. It would be a nightmare for her!

  10. Isn't it funny how the democrats are so up in arms about poor Melania using a few dozens words that Michelle also used. And yet, none of them care a whit about 30,000 missing e-mails from Hillary! Oh look! There's something new and shiny!
  11. You don't consider 4 jumps to make you "new"?
  12. To the leg, in freefall? I think not!
  13. Was it stolen by someone who would have known what it was, like at the drop zone. Or by a non-skydiving stranger out of a parking lot somewhere else? Obviously, you don't know who the thief was. But the location from which it was stolen might indicate something. Will the FAA assign you a new seal number, so you don't have to worry about somebody faking your seal? You wouldn't want to get blamed for someone else's work with a stolen seal press... Gosh!

    train selfies!

That crap happens a LOT. http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/news/ex-footballer-chris-mitchell-hit-7926871 I had a close call myself once, which stunned me. You would think that you could hear them coming a ways off. But I was standing on the tracks taking notes while overlooking an adjacent construction site, and the next thing I know, a train was coming at me about 50-yards away (slowly, thank god), and I never heard it coming. Somehow they can be amazingly silent at times. There's an ugly video on LiveLeak.com of a guy in India who tried to kick a train, got spun off balance, and the train ran over his leg amputating it. Don't kick trains!
  15. They'll only "work" if the people being tested believe that they work. Then the wands will deter suicide bombers from entering through that checkpoint, because the bombers will believe they'll be caught. Sort of like how lie detectors only catch people who believe that the machine can actually tell if they're really lying. All along it's really up to the skill of the machine operator to "read" the person being scanned, and their intent.
  16. One thing you can try is to trim your canopy with a little bit of brakes set, tail turned down slightly, even when the toggles are full-up in full flight. You sacrifice a little forward speed, but that will give you more range on the bottom end to get deeper into the brakes.
  17. I wonder if she sent in complaints about all the Independence Day fireworks noise? What about New Year's celebration noise? That's twice a year, probably about the same number of times per year that Mile High conducts night jumps. Since sunset is about 8:30, and night jump certification requires that they be done an hour after sunset, then 10:30 isn't all that "late". I wonder how many of those city council members have an e-mail filter that blocks or ignores Kimmie's e-mails?
  18. Yes, the weight of the canopy matters. The aerodynamic lift of the canopy has to support it's own weight, plus that of the pilot. Just like the wings of an airplane have to support their own weight, plus the fuselage. You're only talking about 5 to 10 lbs though, so it's not much compared to the weight of the jumper. Probably only about 4% to 5% of your total jump weight.
  19. Oh, well if the production company wanted it, then it must be okay. We should waive our safety standards any time it will help make a good video!
  20. If this forum had "Like" buttons like Facebook, you would have a lot of them. :-)
  21. And gosh only knows why he participated in that horrid movie "Green Room". http://www.imdb.com/title/tt4062536/
  22. An inch or two is nothing to worry about. Heck, that's less movement than most rigs experience.
  23. Saw the movie. Too much like Jaws. But watching Blake Lively for almost two hours in a bikini is totally worth it! What I couldn't figure out is why the shark was so interested in trying to eat her, when it had an entire dead whale for a feast right nearby. Blake would only be one mouthful. What he heck, did I mention how great-looking Blake Lively is? http://www.liveforfilm.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/05/Blake-Lively-Shallows-Movie-Photos.jpg
