  1. Does anyone use this? And can you really manage both with one program or does it bog down anywhere? I'm the type to show up at the accountant with a big bag of crap (usually crying) and I'd like to change that. Any other recommendations?
  2. They have a problem that none is designing special canopy for them, which could be more forgiving and less sensitive. They could simply fly bigger canopies that are more forgiving & less sensitive, especially with low jump numbers. Watching fresh-off-student-status people marching to the plane with TJNs / W-5s on their backs is truly unsettling.

    Gout

My Grandpa & Dad both had/have suffered from gout and yes, the dietary changes helped quite a lot. The apple cider vinegar solution and bing cherry juice concentrate drinks were also good quickie fixes if they were being a bit slack with the food choices. It's a nice bonus that a good "gout avoidance" diet is also great for your general health - very heart healthy, high fiber, low sodium, low glycemic index, etc. My brother (the Anchor Steam & Jameson aficionado) & I are both very much looking forward to our first gout episodes . Our family genetics = lots of fun times at the cardiologists & all the other -ists.
  5. Check out www.angieslist.com and see if they cover your area. It's really worth the subscription fee and we've found numerous home repair/maintenance vendors through the user reviews.

    sun path

They are closed every Friday. Their hours are 7am - 5pm M-Th.
  7. Hi Robert!! All: Robert is THE man Zhills calls when there's a lost canopy & free bag. He's gone out after everyone else has tried and found stuff like altis, camera helmets, bag-locks, etc. and we've got a big nasty swamp filled with gators, snakes & rednecks. If Robert can't find it, it's because someone took it. You can put money on that.
  8. I bow to you, Almighty Queen of the Camera Geeks!! We held each point a while for pics but AnneMarie still had plenty of time to make a couple of 360s in the round and give Charlie a kiss. Thanks for having me on a great skydive! xx
  9. So, before you contacted the manufacturer to try to resolve any questions or issues, you posted your complaint(s) on dz.com? Cart? Horse?
  10. "If we took away women's right to vote, we'd never have to worry about another Democrat president. It's kind of a pipe dream, it's a personal fantasy of mine, but I don't think it's going to happen. And it is a good way of making the point that women are voting so stupidly, at least single women." Ann Coulter is my hero. I'm getting my ass back into the kitchen to make dinner for my man because I'm too stupid to do anything else like performing my civic duty and voting! http://www.nyobserver.com/2007/coulter-culture
  11. Lisa is waaaay upset but I'm pretty happy for you! Congratulations, Ray!
  12. Start thinking about entering them in money meets down the road!! Eloy, Paraclete & Bedford all run them on occasion. The kids look like they're having a great time!
  13. Alright, alright, your team spanked my team!! I have to pick up a couple rigs in Deland next week...we'll settle up at the bar then, ok? You totally missed Lisa, dude. Ask Robbie Herrick about her Very Bad Behavior at the tiki bar. Started around noon... pm me your phone #.
  14. You're not kidding! I'm so impressed with Skydive Chicago's staff, facilities, locals & the never-ending supply of Absolut Mandrin at the tiki bar! What really caught my eye during the frenzy of 4-way was that the tandems & students were still looked after professionally and the instructors took the time to explain what was going on. You could literally watch some of them get The Disease!
  15. Heyheyhey!! Does that mean you won't be available during the Turkey Boogie?!?! At least we didn't try to break your arm!
  16. Speak to either Dave or Joannie at Sunshine Factory. The sell lots of used gear. www.sunshine-factory.com
  17. No no no. Don't drug the kids...drug the adults!! Better living through Ambien!
  18. Yes. The faster you can put them down for a little nap, the better!
  19. I don't regret getting the tattoo, I really regret where I had it placed. If I could do it again, I wouldn't have had it done in the "tramp stamp" area. Tattoos are a huge no-no in Korea & Japan (yes, still) and anyone who isn't a criminal wouldn't even think of getting one. All the more reason my Mom nearly stroked out when she saw mine. I've given a lot of thought to having it lasered off and I have an idea for something new in a different location. Shh, don't tell Mom!
  20. Oh please oh please oh please! Call Derek Thomas at Sun Path right now and question how he runs his company! Can we all watch??
  21. Before I had my cervical fusion surgery, I had about 7 weeks of Ultracet, alternating heat & ice, massage, sleeping with a tennis ball under my shoulder blade, blahblahblah. I added on Advil as well. I hate to break it to you but without narcotics or some mega muscle relaxers, you're going to feel pain all the freakin' time. The pain level varies, but that's the price if you don't want to take any narcotics. I'd say that 70% of the time, it was manageable, 20% pretty uncomfortable & 10% rolling around on the floor crying. Sleep was erratic at best. I'd usually wake up twice to got get an ice pack and a pill. The ONLY good things about taking Ultracet was avoiding a nasty little addiction to a narcotic and fitting into a size 2 by the time is was all said and done. After surgery, presto! Back to a 6!!
  22. Actually, the scores were very tight from 2nd through 8th place! 1st: 37.5 (I'm still trying to figure out what that .5 is all about) 2nd: 30 3rd: 29 4th: 27 5th: 26 6th: 24 7th: 23 8th: 20 9th: 16 10th: 13 11th: 9 We had participants with 70 to 3000+ jumps. One member of the 1st place team, Ryan, has about 100 jumps with only 5 RW since AFF. He made some of the nicest center point 360s of the day. It's a great mixer and one of my favorite days of the year on the dz.
  23. We had a great turn out for the Scrambles Meet on Sunday. 11 teams were put together and all 4 rounds were jumped in 12 back-to-back loads. This year's King Of Scrambles is Jim "Bu" Klinge. Bu led his fearless team - Marc Pearl, AnneMarie Hammond & Ryan Sutterfield - to victory, despite all efforts to bribe the judge and pay off the video guy to take them out. Congratulations on taking first place again, Bu! We'll push you into the pond later when you least expect it... Many thanks go out to TK & the staff at Skydive City. We're very lucky to have had the support and dedication of the following people: Pilot: Marko Jakkola Manifestors: Debbie Dellibac & Nicole Pratt Video: Pip Redvers, Igor Mazia, Tommy Dellibac, Scotty Burns, Ron Clark, Katie Blue & Jody Conn Coach: Sally Hathaway This year's prizes were (for each team member): 1st place: 40% off a Wings harness/container from Sunrise Manufacturing, 20% off a Michigan Suit and 1 free jump from Skydive City. 2nd place: $50 gift certificate from Sunshine Factory and 10% off a Michigan Suit. 3rd place: T-shirt from Performance Designs & 1 free jump from Skydive City. 4th place: T-shirt from Sun Path Products. Last Place: 50% off a Michigan Suit and 1 free pack job from Nylon City. A random drawing was held and Christine Freiherr won a Larsen & Brusgaard Optima, David Andreas won a Larsen & Brusgaard Viso and Ryan Sutterfield won 30% off a Javelin harness/container from Sun Path Products. Sun Path also generously provided boxes full of beer koozies, bottle openers and other goodies for all the Scrambles participants. Janine Columbo managed to participate in the Meet AND put on a great dinner afterwards. Thanks, Janine! The guy who pulls it all together is Oren Kalb. This event is his baby and he pours a lot of effort into it. It takes some major gyrations to get a dedicated plane & pilot, a slew of prizes and everyone registered, on a team, jumped & judged within 8 hours and still be in a good mood. Thanks, Big O! www.skydivecity.com
  24. Oren's been busy soliciting (read: shaking down) some favorite vendors and has a whole bunch of prizes and giveaways courtesy of: - Larsen & Brusgaard - Sunrise Manufacturing - Performance Designs - Michigan Suits - Sun Path Products - Skydive City - Sunshine Factory - Nylon City Charlie Hammond has bottled up his special "Scrambles Brew" for the occasion and believe me, his beer alone is reason to drop whatever you're doing and come on out to the dz! See you Sunday morning!
  25. Kurt's bringing the FSL meet to Skydive City tomorrow, so that's the perfect opportunity to warm up for Scrambles! Registration at 9am, 6 rounds. It's pretty cool - the Florida League will be competing against the Northern Plains, Carolina, Mid-Atlantic, Mid-East (not that mid-east, this is Ohio), Denmark and Finland leagues. Kurt Knight will be judging. My yet-to-be-named team will be flying with Thiago substituting for Christine at IC. Hopefully, Thiago won't mind twiddling his thumbs while waiting for the rest of us to build the next point! See you out there. www.skyleague.com
