  1. I have an altimeter mount known as "The Wedge" http://www.lookma.de/Starting_Page/Products/_The_Wedge_/_the_wedge_.html Would this work with a wing suit? Mine is actually a little bit different than the picture but you get the idea.
  2. I sometimes got openings like the beginning of the sdafreefly video on http://www.auburn.edu/~huntmic/freeflyvids/ No matter what I did it seemed to slam me one out of five jumps.
  3. You could send them a subtle anonymous message from http://www.therabreath.com/tellafriend.asp

    FINALS SUCK

The worst part for me is seeing the joy in the faces of all the seniors when they are done and knowing that I have a full year to go!

    FINALS SUCK

I have my last one tonight and would love to go and do some skydiving this weekend. Unfortunately I rubbed a hole in my rig during an asphalt landing this weekend... http://www.auburn.edu/~huntmic/freeflyvids/ check out either video to see me damage my rig...hopefully it will not take too long to fix.
  6. Watching that reminded me that I needed to bust out the firewire and try to put something together. http://www.auburn.edu/~huntmic/freeflyvids/ Yeah the person who crashed was me. I REALLY didn't want to buy beer...too bad my rig has to go back to Mirage now for repairs. The stupid shall be punished.
  7. No the rig is brand new...custom ordered with tyedye, stainless, packpad, and chest rings
  8. Here is a shot that I captured from a jump this saturday. On another jump that I was not wearing video I have seen it even more off of the body. http://www.auburn.edu/~huntmic/freeflyvids/DSC00032.JPG As far as the handles being out of place...I have only seen it with the mirage with chest rings but when you tighten the chest strap the top of the shoulders are close together and everything above the chest ring stays in place but the handles are rotated under your arms...does this make sense? It is kind of hard to explain. Edited to say:maybe it was like 4 to 6 inches...but he said that it bothers him and wants the cut-outs taken out[shrug]
  9. I look at it like this. People on the left(way left) will read this and see all of the things that they like to see. Bashing the current administration, they lied to us etc. They will go to counterpunch.org and read headlines like This author is clearly very biased given his book about the "Clinton Sax years". This quote pretty much sums up how utterly stupid this author's book is. The people who are hard to the right will read this and be upset by the anti-administration statements that it makes. Instead of thinking through what is being said and either filing it away or researching it further they will simply be upset by it. No mater what anyone writes the left will be against the current administration ALWAYS. The right will be for the current administration ALWAYS. Both are wrong. The problem is that coverage has shifted away from being moderate to being either left or right. It has left me disgusted and I am tired of reading articles that are slanted to fit whatever party line the writer supports, with only moderate attention paid to the truth. I recognize that Iraq was not directly responsible for 9/11. The US at times finds it convenient to leave in power "nice dictators", and those who don't cause too much trouble, like Saudi. They give us oil and a place to land our planes. I don't think that the Saudi government supported 9/11. I think the underlying problem is a deep seeded hatred of the US throughout radical Islamic religion. But did this article inform us of anything new, any revolutionary ideas, any proof of the authors claims...no. It is a propaganda piece pure and simple.
  10. We are all now dumber for having read that.
  11. The two people that I know who have cut-in backpads for freeflying (one Mirage and one Javelin) are not happy with them. With the Mirage at least, there is a pivot point at the chest rings and because of that when you sitfly the rig comes off of your back by about 6-10 inches. If you don't mind this happening go for the cut-ins. I know what you are thinking, what if you tighten the rig? That would create another problem. When you tighten a rig with chest rings IMHO the cutaway and reserve handles are in a bad place. They kind of get pulled under your arms. A guy at SDA is trying to send his brand new $2000 Mirage back to get the cut-ins taken off. They bother him that much.
  12. Cool man...Unfortunately this happens a lot. Peoples reaction to racial slurs and the way that the legal system deals with assault after the fact has been something that I have been interested in for a while. If you have a chance read N*gger, it was written by a harvard law professor (can't remember his name) and gave me a deeper understanding of the hatred that the word inspires and hints at the deeper underlying problem.I think that most of the time when white people use the word they are referring to a particular type of person...sort of like saying that someone is white trash. At least that is what I would like to believe. Because it would be hard to believe that people could really hate a whole race...I think that they just hate certain stereotypical groups of people. I do believe that stereotypes have a certain place in society however, for example if you are on a desolate street and a person who appears unsavory approaches you then you should be afraid. But blindly hating anyone before you know what they believe in borders on the absurd.
  13. Are you suggesting that it is OK to get physical with someone for making a remark. If someone thinks that it is a good idea to react with PHYISCAL violence to a remark then it indicates to me that they do not have the mental capacity to rise above such remarks. Promoting violence only serves to expand the racial divide. Case in point, a group of black students see a group of white students beating a black student who made a RACIST remark. By some people's logic they were justified in causing physical harm to someone based on an opinion they expressed. In actuality a bigger fight will ensue...how is this better for anyone?
  14. With all the perks that you will get you will probably be able to make it to events like http://ndlwpa.com/CONVENT.htm What is this? 1:00 pm Living Up in a Down World by Dr. Robert Edwards, Minot

  16. I used to be in the Navy. One of my friends was reenlisting and he paid for 10 of us to go and do tandems. He signed the papers in the plane and we skydived all afternoon. Two of us came back the next weekend and took the first jump course. Three years later here I am!

  24. I am curious...is overclocking my cpu relatively safe? Will the stock fan/heatsink be sufficient? What would be a good resource to begin overclocking?
