  1. So where can I watch that original Star Trek pilot, "The Cage", that was rejected by the broadcaster? I'd like to see it...
  2. I wonder about this comment: "She must be so difficult to satisfy in bed." Do female skydivers expect more action in bed, because they're so used to excitement from skydiving? Hmmm... So there's a question for the ladies here. Have you come to expect more in bed since you've become a skydiver? Or is this just the thought of a lonely guy who is feeling inferior in the presence of a skygoddess?

  6. Nothing is real any more. Everything is a lie... Science is broken. That's the thesis of a must-read article in First Things magazine, in which William A. Wilson accumulates evidence that a lot of published research is false. But that's not even the worst part. Advocates of the existing scientific research paradigm usually smugly declare that while some published conclusions are surely false, the scientific method has "self-correcting mechanisms" that ensure that, eventually, the truth will prevail. Unfortunately for all of us, Wilson makes a convincing argument that those self-correcting mechanisms are broken..." http://theweek.com/articles/618141/big-science-broken How the heck is one to know what to believe is true?
  7. I see the peripheral staff (boarding guy, fueler, etc.) getting free jumps on the first and last loads of the day, space available. The idea is that on the first load, the DZ won't be very busy yet, so they can be spared at that time. And on the last load, their jobs are all but done for the day, with no more time pressure. So this policy gives them incentive to work all day for low wages, for the benefit of two free jumps per day. And some of those guys have built up enough experience to do that to progress to being coaches, videomen, tandemmasters and AFF instructors. It's just awesome to see the former lawn care guy grow up to make AFF jumps!
